Message from the President

Stephen Rudy

The 118th Annual Idaho PTA Convention is just around the corner. Join us in person at West Ada Training Center in Meridian or virtually, on April 21, as we connect with PTA leaders, educators, and parents. We hope to reinforce our mission of outreach and impact in our school communities to make a difference for every child.

This invitation is extended to current and incoming leadership as well as all PTA members, whether they have children in the public school system or are community PTA members. Every member is important in the decision-making process of the Idaho PTA. Attendance and participation is a vital key to unit growth and development.

To be able to learn as much as possible you should bring as many members as you can.  Then you can divide and conquer, so to speak, by having someone attend the different workshops and share the information.  The convention gives all of the units in Idaho a chance to come together and share ideas and learn from each other Please share this information with your board, PTA members, and educators at your school. This year we will be electing new officers to the Idaho PTA Executive Committee, and will also adopt our budget for the year.

The Idaho PTA Board looks forward to having all PTA units represented at this year's convention. Don’t forget to encourage your PTA leaders to “Build your PTA with Idaho PTA!” More information can be at idahopta.org. Please put this on your calendar and make plans to attend. We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces in Meridian.

Message from Convention Chair

Jennifer Prudhomme

It’s the time where we are getting close to the end of the school year, PTAs are planning their last events of the year, and next year’s PTA boards are being elected. Don’t you wish there was a way to help the next board (or even yourself) be successful next school year? There is! Convention!

This year's convention will be packed full of learning, networking and fun! Our theme “Build Your PTA” is exactly what our convention is focused on. We will have training on basic PTA practices, growing engagement through social media, what you need to know to run a PTA, leadership training, and so much more! There will be a vendor expo and idea share, giving you time to hear new ideas and begin planning the next PTA year. And don’t forget elections! With your participation we will be electing the future leaders of Idaho PTA, who will shape how Idaho PTA serves local units for the next several years.

Please, come be a part of the best learning opportunity of the year and help your PTA build a better year one idea at a time. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
