Highlighting the Presbytery’s New Worshipping Communities
Worship at our April meeting will be presented by our New Worshiping Communities: Intertwined and the Circle Hbg. The leadership of these communities encourages everyone to attend and participate in-person, yet also recognizes that won’t be possible for everyone. To accommodate that, there will be a Zoom option for individuals not able to be physically present. (Note: if you are going to be in-person, please plan to arrive by 5:15.)
Weather permitting, at 5:30 p.m. we will begin outside next to the Social Hall (far east end of the building) with worship leadership from the Rev. Kevin Long. He will lead us through a typical Intertwined experience with a focus on faith, ecology, and community.
Following that, at 6:00 p.m., we will migrate inside and gather around tables to share a wonderful meal prepared by Faith Immanuel members including:
- Rigatoni and Meatballs
- Italian Tossed Salad with Dressing
- Italian Rolls
- Desserts
- Coffee, Tea, Ice Water and Lemonade
Please note: Gluten free pasta will be an option and there is a $10 suggested donation for dinner.
Around 6:30 p.m., the Rev. Kelly Wiant will facilitate the Circle Way, which is the foundational practice of The Circle Hbg, as we engage in questions about who we are as a Presbytery. To lead this practice, Kelly would like to train individuals who will be in-person or online to serve as Guardians. The role of Guardian is to watch the energy, pacing, and needs of those gathered in the Circle. It is a simple but essential role in the practice of the Circle Way, and one those in Presbytery leadership roles can easily fill. If you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity, please indicate that under "Attendance Type" when you register.
After these worship experiences, there will be a time for questions and answers with the worship leaders. This will lead into:
- A Service of Commissioning for the Rev. Kelly Wiant to The Circle Hbg,

Information on an innovative worship opportunity for small/rural churches provided by the Rev. Graham Fowler, and
-
Memorial moments for the Rev. Crea Clark and the Rev. Jack Larson.
We pray it will be an energizing time together as we worship, fellowship, and experience God in new ways. An offering will be collected and given to Church World Service. In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to collect their 2025 PC(USA) Clergy Membership ID Card.
A note about driving directions: you may enter the church address (1801 Colonial Road) into your GPS or the address for the house across the street (4303 Valley View Rd). The house address will give you better forewarning about where to turn going northbound on Colonial Road. Valley View Rd is largely hidden from sight until you've reached it.
