Thoughts on Today's Verse
The old song says, "Where oh where is love?" Love is with God. Love comes from God. Love is the key attribute of God. Love is from God. Love is of God. You want to be more loving? You want to find greater intensity in your love? You want to know how to love others who are hard to love? Look to God. But, where do we see God most clearly? Jesus! So look at how God has demonstrated his love through Jesus and do likewise!

Today's Prayer & Prayer Requests
Prayer through the Ages
Let us repose, Good Shepherd, in your presence; walk in your path, enjoy your safety, rejoice in your banquet, receive your anointing, drink from your cup and dwell in your house, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer of the Day
Holy God, we want to show that you are our Father by loving others more perfectly. Please bless us as we seek to follow Jesus' example in treating others with love. In the name of the Lord Jesus we pray...

Thank you for your Holy Spirit that gives us comfort and guidance in our daily lives and walks.

Give our government officials the ability to safely handle people arriving from other countries.

Holy Spirit, as families adjust to everyone being home we ask that You guide people in their new realities. Give spouses grace for each other. Prompt worn-out parents to speak words of kindness and encouragement to their children.

Give peace to people feeling financial strain during these times of uncertainty, bring them comfort and peace, reminding them that You are there for them. Provide for them in their times of need.

We ask you to have mercy on all those who are afflicted with illness and pain. Preserve their life and grant them relief from pains and healing. Comfort them with the assurance of your love and presence through the grace of your dear Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ.

For Charlie Cassidy, all went very well with his surgery. He is now in rehab for about 10 days before he comes home.

For Joan Whearty who had hip replacement surgery.

We ask that You help us to cope with the coronavirus and its new strains.

For our friends working the Covid19 front lines: Alayne Snyder, Drs. Johnny and Riny Kovoor. and Erik Lindholm.

Be present now to people who need Your loving touch because of illness. May they feel Your power of healing through the care of doctors and nurses.

Help people decide to stay home instead of traveling or going out needlessly.

Take away the fear, anxiety, and feelings of isolation from people receiving treatment or under quarantine. Protect their families and friends and bring peace to all who love them.

Thank you Abba Father You are loving God and faithful to your word, promises and plans.

Be with people making decisions that affect the lives and futures of our families, communities, countries, and the wider world.

Loving Father, we can only love others with Your love as Your love floods into our hearts. Pour forth Your love into our hearts so that the love of Jesus streams out from each of us as rivers of His living water, in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
