A word from the Executive Director
Good afternoon Chamber Members,

The Callaway Chamber of Commerce is now open by appointment only. Thank you in advance for your patience as we iron out our processes to have the doors open full time. The Chamber team is available to you, our members, and are willing to meet with you. Please contact us at the Chamber at 573-642-3055 or by email.
 
We will be having another Callaway Community Update on Tuesday the 7th. This update will also provide an update on the CARES Act Funding for the first round and will also give updates to the second round of funding pertaining. If you have not already seen, the golf tournament has been rescheduled for July 24th at Tanglewood. We do still have some sponsorships available, but ALL holes sponsors have already been reserved so BIG thank you to our members who have already secured their spot!

This event is a networking opportunity with Chamber members and community leaders. This tournament will give you the opportunity to spotlight your business in a relaxed setting in front of Callaway County decision makers.

We will be having the July Business Breakfast with Public Administrator's Office and Maupin Funeral Home, but as a reminder, we do NOT have a Business After Hours. The Business Breakfast for July will be held outside at the Public Administrator's Office from 8 AM to 9 AM.

If you have had to cancel your Business After Hours or Business Breakfast due to the current pandemic, we are offering a first right of refusal for all businesses for next year. You will be able to reserve the SAME month you have previously reserved for 2021. Please send Justis an email if you wish to reserve for next year.

As a reminder, Leadership Callaway applications are now being accepted now through July 10th. They are not on our website currently as we are creating the new site, however, they will be included there once the site publishes this summer. If anyone interested in completing the prestigious program for yourself or enroll an employee, please email Justis for a copy of the application. Information sheet for the program is located below with a video created by Leadership Callaway County alumi to detail the program.

As you may have seen in an email in June, on June 16 th, Missouri opened back up for business but there is still uncertainty and risk associated with COVID-19. This risk is not only for your business with your workforce but for customers that patron your establishments. Missouri’s surrounding states have already put COVID-19 liability protection in place for businesses but Missouri does not have that protection in place for your business.

Below I have provided the link from the Missouri State Chamber that is advocating for signatures to ask Governor Parson to call for a special session to address this issue for our business community.



And lastly, we know that these are some uncharted times we are facing, but we want to thank all of you for your support during this time. We especially want to thank our new members to the Callaway Chamber of Commerce! Welcome!
