Regional Events Bring Together Church Leaders and Presbyters | Throughout 2023, the presbyters of Presbytery of the James will be visiting each area of the presbytery. They look forward to gathering church leaders together and learning about the joys and challenges of ministry for each. The tentative dates of the events are listed on the POJ website. Ministers, commissioned pastors, clerks of session, and moderators of session will receive invitations to an event by email. Please be on the lookout in the month prior to the event date. | |

Mission Council Calls Meeting About Book of Order Amendments | The 225th General Assembly (2022) proposed changes in the language of the Book of Order that, if approved, will amend the PC(USA) Constitution. Presbyteries must submit their affirmative or negative votes on these proposed changes by July 2023. Therefore, Mission Council has called a meeting for April 20 at 7:00 p.m. to consider the amendments. | |

Learn About Prison Abolition Movement | Voices of Jubilee invites you to learn about abolition of the prison industrial complex through a six-week online study group. The event is sponsored by Presbyterians for Abolition and runs April 20 through May 25 at 6:30 p.m. Learn more at an info session on April 13 at 6:30 p.m. A portion of the registration fees will benefit Voices of Jubilee. | |

Share Spring Mini Camp With Church Youth | Pass this opportunity along to your church youth! Tweens and teens are invited to take a break from school and hang out at Camp Hanover doing their favorite camp activities. In this fun-filled weekend April 21-23, campers in grades 5 through 12 will spend lots of time outside enjoying nature and creation. Families register for this event on their own like they do for summer camp. | |

Reminder: Online study groups for those serving in faith formation, youth ministry, and older adult ministry are starting soon. Each cohort will focus on a particular audience, such as those new to their role. The small groups will begin meeting April 16 and continue through May.
