Awards and Achievements
The Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) Board of Directors approved the initial accreditation of Georgetown's Executive Master's in Clinical Quality, Safety, and Leadership (EM-CQSL) for a three-year term. A collaboration with MedStar Health and housed in Biomedical Graduate Education, the EM-CQSL is an online program representing the real-world environment that health care providers and patients encounter everyday. The program immerses learners in advanced theory and concepts of quality, safety science, and organization.

The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) Translational Biomedical Science TL1 (TBS/TL1) Program is offering five Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) sessions via Zoom. The series will provide face-to-face training for predoctoral students, postdoctoral fellows and early career investigators in the responsible conduct of research to promote ethical, rigorous and reproducible science.
The Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS) KL2 Scholars Program is accepting applications for the next round of KL2 awards. Apply by April 30 for an anticipated appointment date of June 2023.
The 2023-2024 NIH TL1 Translational Biomedical Science (TBS) Training Program, funded by the Georgetown-Howard Universities Center for Clinical and Translational Science (GHUCCTS), is accepting applications. Applicants must be predoctoral students who have completed their qualifying exams in PhD programs at Georgetown or Howard, or postdoctoral fellows with primary appointments at Georgetown, Howard, a MedStar Health institution or the Washington DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Apply by May 1.

Periodically, we are spotlighting one of Georgetown’s Shared Resources, a pool of state-of-the-art equipment, technical expertise and knowledge available to researchers. The Survey, Recruitment & Biospecimen Collection Shared Resource (SRBSR) provides Georgetown investigators with access to an integrated suite of comprehensive services for planning and implementing research projects. Services include survey design and administration, subject screening and recruitment, and preparing and managing final datasets. Learn more about the SRBSR.
