Conference Corner
Welcome to Conference Corner!
It is our belief that every member and prospective member would benefit from attending the National Urban League Conference!
We'd like to share the experiences of others and hope that you plan on joining us next year for the National Urban League Conference in Columbus, OH August 1-4, 2018!

National Conference words from MULYP member Erika Manuel:

"I had a great time at Conference this year.  I really enjoyed the panel on how the Central Region can support diversity and inclusion efforts.  My take away from that panel was that D&I in the hiring process is a lot simpler to implement (recruitment); meanwhile, it takes more effort to foster D&I throughout employees' tenure/matriculation in a company (retention).  They have to be approached differently.  The main way of retention is giving diverse employees a seat at the table to include their perspectives and to influence a company's organizational leadership that tends to be homogeneous and privileged.  Also, company leaders must engage diverse employees and learn about their needs/wants/values, and include employee values throughout the company's culture."
