It might only be February with snow still on the ground but we are looking forward to summer because of our Cemetery Preservation Technology Workshop on June 21-23, in Helena. The workshop has nationally recognized speakers and demonstrations with high-tech and unusual technologies for unearthing history buried in Montana's cemeteries.
One of the exciting technologies that we are bringing to the workshop are grave-detecting dogs. These aren't your typical cadaver dogs since these pups have been trained to find human remains as old as 1,500 years and as deep as nine feet. They even helped in the search for
Amelia Earhart!
Needless to say we are pretty excited to work with our four-legged best friends and to share this unique experience with you. Along with grave-detecting dogs you can expect to hear from experts with Ground Penetrating Radar, LiDAR, Botany, History, and more! Did we mention that there are two days of exclusive field trips to local cemeteries included in the workshop? Dogs, experts, and hands-on demonstrations! It is going to be a lot of fun, so
make sure you sign up quickly.
