JULY 4 FESTIVITIES CANCELLED
For the first time in 30 years, Newton's July 4 fireworks have been cancelled due to COVID-19. The Open Air Market, amusement rides and games before the fireworks at Albemarle have also been canceled. The children’s events and free ice cream in the morning at Newton Centre Playground have been scrubbed, too.

We look forward to celebrating with you on July 4, 2021!
NEWTON CENTRE COMES ALIVE
Pat Rand, long time leader of the Newton Community Pride Beautification Committee, rakes the Newton Centre garden.

She was joined by Julie Pierce as they prepare the garden to plant seedlings this week.

About 1000 tulip and daffodil bulbs were removed from the garden in late May to prepare for the seedlings.

If you’d like to help with the garden this summer, please contact Howard Sholkin,  hsholkin@gmail.com .
