Dear Families

What a festive Sunday we have coming up this week! We will celebrate the Feast of St. Andrew with a joyous procession, a bagpiper, and a drummer. Then we will come together as a community to pledge our support (financial and otherwise) to our church home.

Giving back and gratitude go hand in hand, so our ingathering this Sunday is a great way to model both for your children. And did I mention the bagpiper?

I hope you can take some time out of the busy preparations for Thanksgiving to notice and feel gratitude for the many blessings in this life.

Much Love,

-Erin

P.S. There is lots of stuff coming up that will change our normal Sunday School schedule. Please check the schedule below for more information.

Glorious God, who spoke light into the world, we thank you for sending Jesus, your Son, as a light for all people. Help us to find the light within ourselves and one another so that we may rise like the sun and shine love in all places. Through your many names we pray. Amen.

It's time to start preparing our annual Nativity Pageant. I'm looking for angels who sing (and those who don't), sheep, shepherds, a donkey or two, and all the other parts including the star. The Pageant is at our 4:00pm Christmas Eve worship and there will be ONE rehearsal after 10 am worship on December 17th. Please email me if your child would like to participate and let me know what role they prefer.

I plan to attend. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Cultivating Gratitude

"Over time, we discovered that by having to look for “things for which to be grateful,” we became more attuned to beauty, to goodness, to possibilities, to hope."
