CALLING ALL TEEN ARTISTS
Teens! Are you a Redwood City (RCSD/SUHSD) middle or high school student who loves to make art? You can have your art on the entire Downtown Library Teen Center wall! Submit an original design to be reproduced as a mural on the Teen Center wall. The winner of the contest will be announced at our Teen Center unveiling party held on Thursday, June 1. JOIN OUR COMMUNITY ART EXPERIENCE
Collaborate, Construct, Create Community! is a week-long community art experience celebrating diversity of community, creativity,  ideas, and the love of stories starting this Saturday. Under the direction of Bay Area Artist Richard Art Felix, and the EverybodyCanPaint Project, all members of the community are invited to participate with paint and words on a 20 foot artwall installation in front of the Downtown Library to create an interconnected, inclusive, and growing visual representation of and with our community. Our first participation day is Saturday April 8 from 11am-4:30pm. COMIC ARTS FEST
The 7th Annual Peninsula Libraries Comic Arts Fest (PLCAF) is returning this month! We’re celebrating the importance of comics, both as an art form and as valid literature, and enabling aspiring artists and readers of all ages through author visits, workshops, and comics-related programs.

PLCAF has held engaging comics events since 2015, hosting many great well-established authors, as well as budding debut authors. We’ve also held Small Press Comics Expos highlighting local creators and workshops for writing and illustrating. We’re excited to bring in-person events back for our fellow comic fans in 2023!

MEET LOCAL FAITH LEADERS
Welcome to our new series, Stories From Your Community: Faith Leaders. This children's storytime series explores the many faiths that are practiced and loved in our community and will feature guest storytellers from local faith organizations.

This week we welcome the pastor at Street life Ministries, David Shearin and Shannon Frei from Calvary San Mateo for a Bible storytime celebrating unity and diversity. All are welcome!
