We want to invite all of our youth, 6th grade through 12th grade, and their parents  to come celebrate this past year on Sunday, May 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.!  We will begin with a fun time of Bubble Soccer and then follow with a shared meal and a walk down memory lane.  We will also introduce our 6th graders, who will be joining our Student Ministry, as well as our Summer Youth Interns.  We want to encourage our parents to come join us and have an opportunity to meet our awesome Small Group Leaders who have been leading and mentoring our youth this school year.  This is a night you won't want to miss!

FMC's Hispanic Pastor Prepares for New Calling

Rev. Emigidio Rosales, current Hispanic pastor for First Methodist Conroe's Celebración community, will soon prepare for a major transition and mission of faith.

Rosales has been appointed to start a new Hispanic congregation in Tyler, Texas, a city with population a little over 100,000 of which more than 23% are Hispanic.

He and his family are excited for this upcoming chapter. They are ready for the new adventure of faith and have full confidence that God will fulfill His purpose in their lives.

Since 2015, Rosales has led FMC's Hispanic congregation and has helped in the growth and establishment of this community. Recently in 2017, Rosales has been greatly involved in the church's overall new vision and focus of the ministry.

"I feel privileged and proud of having led this congregation through this new stage in which we have assumed the name of Celebration," says Rosales. "At the same time, I am confident that God will lead this congregation to greater and better destinations in his ministry to the Hispanic community of Conroe."

Rosales begins his new position on June 1 and will be relocating along with his wife, Sucel González, and two sons, Daniel and Caleb Rosales-González.

Please pray for Rosales, his family, and for those in Tyler who will hear God's word through him.
Music Ministry Welcomes Newest Addition!

A big warm FMC welcome to Angela Rivera!

The Music Ministry is greatly excited for their new Pianist/Accompanist.  Even more, it thrills us to have someone who brings abundant joy in service, enormous depth of talent and an effervescent spirit to the work at hand.

Angela comes with a laundry list of impressive credits from a lifetime of music and community involvement.  Her amazing career includes 35 years, primarily as choral director, of consistently award-winning choirs in Conroe public schools; currently leading the choral program at Caney Creek High School.

Please feel free to come and say "hello" after worship!

Summer for Others
Sunday, May 27

With children out of school, they are not receiving the regular breakfasts and lunches that the schools provide and often these same children are left to provide as best as they can on their own at home while both parents work to make ends meet.  This year, we want to help these families where they need it most by providing simple to prepare food for their children.

4:30 p.m. at Crisis Assistance Center (1022 McCall Ave)

Help sort and bag summer food for these families. We will need help with picking up the food from Kroger's, unloading the food from CAC's truck, organizing and bagging the food, and putting the food back on the truck for delivery to our Summer for Others Pool Party.

Special Pool Party
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Conroe Aquatic Center (1205 Candy Cane Lane)

Attend this special pool party! Families receiving the food will be invited to attend this pool party as well with their children. They will receive their food there, and we will be able to spend some time getting to know them and their children in a more personal way.

Sign up for the service project and the pool party by clicking here!
