NYS Registered Voters!

Please contact Governor Kathy Hochul and urge her to VETO the Medical Aid in Dying Act (MAID), passed by the NYS Senate and Assembly, S.138/A.136, during the 2025 legislative session.

Governor Hochul has only 10 days to VETO MAID once she receives the bill, passed by the NYS Senate on June 9th. We don't know yet when the bill will be delivered to her, but she could receive it any day.

Calls to the Governor should be made ASAP.

If Governor Hochul is silent during the 10 day period after she receives the MAID bill- it will automatically become law.

Among other things, MAID normalizes suicide, threatens to increase suicide rates, including non-assisted suicide rates, and thwarts suicide prevention efforts.

Governor Hochul has been a steady advocate of

suicide prevention efforts in NY.

Please ask the Governor to stand strong, and true to her word to keep fighting to end the violence of suicide, by vetoing MAID.
