Our state of the art electric trains are about to be unveiled through a series of free public train tours kicking off Saturday, July 29 at San Jose Diridon Station. We could not be more excited to provide an initial glimpse of the future of our service.
As more of the Overhead Catenary System (OCS) is completed, we’ll be able to bring the trains to more locations in order to show them off to the crowds of people eager to see them. Meanwhile, we’re currently testing the new equipment between Palo Alto and San Jose, as the launch of electrified service grows ever closer.
In addition to these major milestones, we recently got some good news on grade separation funding, continued to celebrate the Summer of Caltrain, and caught up on some more construction over our weekend shutdowns.
Thanks for reading, and see you onboard the new trains tomorrow!
