Matt Schatz - Affirmation of Faith - Sunday, June 5
God's blessings and grace on Matthew Andrew Schatz as he was confirmed on Sunday, June 5 during the 9:00 a.m. worship service. Matt was surrounded by his family and friends as he publicly affirmed his faith before his Calvary family.

The Bible verse Matt selected is Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Congratulations, Matt!
Congratulations to our High School Graduates!
Kian Leonard graduated from Waukesha North High School in January. He has completed his EMT program and Firefighter 1 program at Waukesha County Technical Institute. He will be pursuing an Associates Degree to become a paramedic.

Help the Blobaum's as they move to Wisconsin!
Ben Blobaum will join Calvary on Thursday, June 16 as our intern for one year. (His start date was changed to give him and his family time to pack up and move into their new place on June 15.)

Can you help unload the truck at the Blobaum's on June 15? If you can assist in any way, please contact Mark Knappe at (262)844-2234.

If you'd like to provide a meal for the family on the first few days after they move in, gift cards for various food venues would be greatly appreciated (i.e., Panera, Cousins, Culvers, Kopp's, etc.). Please drop them off in the church office and we will make sure Ben and Amy receive them on move-in day.
July 4th Parade Hospitality Tent
Bottled Water and Cookies are Needed

We will also be serving cookies at our Hospitality Tent. If you'd like to provide a couple dozen cookies, please sign up on the glass doors in the Narthex. Cookies can be dropped off in the kitchen in Fellowship Hall the weekend of July 2-3. Thank you!
Thank You from Janet Zastrow
To my Church family,

Marcella Nelson had a "baby shower" birthday party several years ago and it was a great idea, so I copied it for my 85th birthday on May 23rd. Special thanks to Marcella for helping me plan my birthday 'baby shower', and to everyone who attended with baby gifts in hand.

We loaded up Pastor Ken's truck with the mountain of gifts and delivered them to Care Net Milwaukee (which is also our November Mission of the Month). During the tour of Care Net's facility, I noticed how sparkly clean and well organized it was. Two nurses and a physician were there to operate the two ultrasound machines, which gives their clients the opportunity to see their babies moving in the womb. Oftentimes, this is impactful enough for them to make the decision to keep their babies.

Life is a BIG deal - the Holy Spirit made that happen in my life as my two children are adopted as well as my twin granddaughters. -Janet Zastrow

June Mission of the Month - World Mission Prayer League
and Indian Cuisine Mission Dinner Saturday June 25 L
The World Mission Prayer League (WMPL) is an official ministry partner of the NALC. WMPL grew out of a God-given burden to pray for the unreached interiors of Africa, Asia, and Latin America in the 1930’s. A band of students, pastors and friends in the Minneapolis area joined together in prayer that the Lord of the harvest would send laborers into his harvest.
WMPL says of itself … we are committed to pray, as Jesus commands his followers in Matthew 9:38 – “Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” We are a… community of men and women who are committed to prayer - the “working method” of our mission.
The World Mission Prayer League exists to see that populations with limited or no access to the Gospel experience the love of Christ and that believers and communities of believers in the Americas and elsewhere engage in active and collaborative participation in living out their roles in the great commission.
This month, we are supporting missionaries from WMPL who will be our guests at Calvary in worship the weekend of June 25-26. The Nelsons met our missionaries in 1995 while studying at Luther Seminary.  You're invited to join our missionary guests for an Indian Cuisine Dinner on Sat. June 25 at 6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the Christian church in India and the struggles of persecuted Christians in that country. Please RSVP by June 15 on the sign-up sheet posted on the Narthex doors by June 15. A free will offering will be taken for the dinner, which will be ordered from Taste of India.

Our Mission of the Month offerings will:
 1.    Directly support the work of the World Mission Prayer League;
 2.    Support a “Ministry Fund” for our missionaries and support for orphans whose parents died of

We hope you will learn more about WMPL – their website is, and generously support the mission work Calvary does in India through this wonderful Lutheran ministry.

To support this important Mission for the Month, you may include it in your weekly offering envelope or designate the donation for Mission of the Month in your online giving.

Facing tough times? Need a Christian Friend?
Stephen Ministry is here to help. Free, just like God's love.

Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour.

If you, or someone you know, could benefit from this important ministry, please contact Scott or Peggy Langelin at 262.853.0018.
The right side of the Sanctuary (as you face the altar) is equipped with a hearing loop system which transmits an audio signal directly into a hearing aid via a magnetic field. This greatly reduces background noise, competing sounds, reverberation and other acoustic distortions that reduce clarity of sound.

Most hearing aids are equipped with a t-coil and connecting to this system is an easy switch on the hearing aid. If you need assistance during worship with this system, please reach out to an usher or any staff member.
The church office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The door that is closest to the office (NW corner) will be open during those hours.

Please check in with the office staff so we know you are in the building.

The office phone number is (262) 786-4010. Feel free to leave a message if you call after hours and we will contact you the next day.
