A Message from the Rector
Dear Friends in Christ,
Comedian Bob Newhart once said, “Don’t live in the past. There’s no point. You can’t change anything in the past. It’s a waste of time.”
It’s true, when we live in the past we waste precious time we have to do something of value in the present. This is especially true of regrets. We all have regrets; they are part of being a human being and making choices. But instead of living in the past, think of all the things you can do in this moment to make a difference. What if the time we spend living in the past was spent instead on a new endeavor? We could explore a new hobby or read up on a subject of interest. We could reach out and make new friends or renew old friendships. We could volunteer our time to a worthy cause. As we start the new year choose something to help you look forward rather than living in the past.

Thank You!!!!
Thank you to all of our Altar Guild members and additional volunteers who helped take down the Christmas decorations, Christmas flowers, and candles last Sunday after church. Many hands made much lighter work, and we are grateful to each of you.
A special thank you to Bryan Gorney, Dale Harten, Guy Whalen and Robert Harvey who helped with those extra heavy tasks of removing the Christmas trees, the nativity creche, the Advent wreath and moving the pews back into place around the altar.
Thanks also to Paul McKenna for taking down the Christmas wreaths off the church’s doors.
Thank also to Ted Andrews, and Cinda and Wes Stone for taking down the stars.
With so many people helping we were able to finish the job quickly. Thanks to all who helped to make our church so beautiful at Christmas.
