April 2024

National Healthcare Decisions Day happens in April and promotes advance care planning. Advance care planning means making arrangements for incapacity. If you are injured or ill to the point where you can no longer communicate, would a doctor understand and honor your choices and values concerning care? Advance care planning is designed to provide peace of mind for you, and guidance for loved ones if you are unable to communicate your wishes. Starting this conversation with the person you are caring for doesn’t have to be difficult. Below are some resources to help you.
