The application period for Calvert County’s Purchase and Retirement (PAR) Fund is open until Nov. 8, 2024. This program helps preserve farmland by purchasing and retiring Transferable Development Rights (TDRs). The newly approved rate is $6,000 per TDR. APD owners can submit applications, which will be ranked and considered based on program guidelines. There is no cap on the number of TDRs that can be sold.
