Camanche-DeWitt Coalition Receives Federal Grant
The Camanche-DeWitt Coalition was awarded a FY 2020 Drug-Free Communities Support Program (DFC) grant in the amount of $125,000 by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, in cooperation with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The goals of the coalition are to establish and strengthen community collaboration in support of local efforts to prevent youth substance use. The Camanche-DeWitt Coalition will be addressing underage drinking and youth marijuana use using DFC funds and will use comprehensive strategies targeted at providing community level change.

New Meeting Time!
Thank you everyone for taking the survey for the best meeting time for the coalition. After reviewing the results, we will be meeting at a new time for 2021!

For 2021, we will meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

We will continue to alternate between Camanche and DeWitt locations and offer the meetings via Zoom.

CADCA Training
During CADCA's Leadership Forum, you will get an opportunity to attend a variety of courses to expand your knowledge in prevention science and improve your skills in implementing evidence-based strategies. These in-depth courses are relevant for established emerging coalitions. Monday, February 1, will center around SAMHSA’s Prevention Day. Tuesday through Thursday will feature 12 training session blocks, which are 1.25 hours in length. You pick which training session you would like to attend.

FREE Expert Webinars
Johnny’s Ambassadors is a non-partisan, non-profit grass-roots alliance of individuals and organizations around the globe concerned about about the harms of youth marijuana use. 

Johnny’s Ambassadors offers weekly expert education for parents on youth substance abuse, mental health, and suicide prevention. These webinars are FREE for participants.

If you can’t attend “live,” please register anyway, as the recording will be provided afterward to all participants.

All members who have filled out a coalition membership form are considered members and have voting rights. If you have not filled out a membership form, please do so.
