Ethel Davis, Executive Director of the Kevin Davis Foundation in Los Angeles, California, read from an amazing book to our scholars. She and her husband, Kevin Davis have generously supported the program with funding since its beginning. Kevin, who was raised in Camden (8th and Spruce, Street), is the founder and President of the Kevin Davis Insurance Company, also in Los Angeles. Kevin knows what it is like to grow up in Camden, a graduate of the Camden High School.

Kimberly Smith, Regional Director at Comcast, Stakeholder Engagement, Corporate Communications, encouraged our scholars to be lifelong learners. She emphasized the importance of reading at grade level and digital skills.

Organizations from Saint Louis, Missouri, to Atlanta, GA, visited with us in Camden last summer to learn more about how they might replicate the programs in their cities. We also hosted a guest from the Congo, Africa.

Mark Clouse, President and Chief Operating Officer at the Campbell Soup Company, inspired our scholars by sharing his life's journey that led him to become the man he is today. As you could only imagine, Mark is a professional connector; he has the skills that enables him to relate to people from all walks of life. It was clear to all in the room, Mark Clouse is a compassionate man who truly cares about the community and youth in Camden.
