Women's History Month
Did you know that the Bryan-Lang Historical Archives is named after two women?

The Bryan-Lang Historical Archives is named in memory of Mary Givens Bryan and Beatrice "Bebe" Lang. Ms. Bryan was a former Director of the Georgia State Archives (1951 to 1964), a longtime friend of Bebe Lang, and a 2021 inductee to the Georgia Women of Achievement Hall of Fame. Ms. Lang, a Camden County native, left her entire private collection of books and records to the Archives.

The Bryan-Lang Historical Archives, a research-only facility, was established in 1987 as a depository for books, documents, maps, photographs and other records of historical and genealogical value pertaining to Camden County. The material is non-circulating, but is available for research in the library.
State of Georgia Rental Assistance Program (GRA)
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) will begin administering the State of Georgia Rental Assistance Program (GRA) in early March 2021. DCA has provided answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ) on their website.

Flood Awareness Tool is now available on the Camden County website to assist users with making educated decisions about potential flooding. Approximately 35% or 17,000 of Camden County’s residents live within the 100-year floodplain. Three coastal rivers flow through the County, and 50% of the land is classified as wetlands. Camden experiences the effects of sea level rise, storm surge, regular riverine flooding, and king tides.
