The Camden Collaborative 

The Camden Family Connection Collaborative is made up of community stakeholders with a vested interest in improving the lives of Camden's children and families. 
A monthly meeting is held every  3rd Thursday 
at 10am. Approximately 30-50 representatives from local government, non-profit agencies, and civic organizations are in attendance.

Georgia Needs Survey 
You and the members of your Family Connection Collaborative are invited to participate in an important study to help improve the lives of Georgians with mental illnesses, addictive diseases, and intellectual/developmental disabilities and to help strengthen prevention and early intervention in Georgia communities.

The Regional Advisory Councils of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) has launched a major study called Identifying Independence and Recovery Needs in Georgia

Hearts of Benevolence
The Hearts of Benevolence, a Camden County nonprofit organization, is looking for sponsors for their 3rd annual "Rock the Books" festival. The festival will be held Saturday, August 3, 2019. Camden County 4-H Vidalia Onion Fundraiser  
The Camden County 4-H Club is holding its annual Vidalia Onion fundraiser.  The sale runs through April 19th and orders and payments can be made to the Camden County Extension Office at 1409 Georgia Ave, Woodbine, by April 19th.

Attached is a flyer for February and March free workshop offerrings which will be held at St. Marys Library begining at 5:30pm each Tuesday.  One of the areas that they feel strongly about is encouraging the development of resiliency. Children need to learn how to bounce back and cope with disappointments and challenges in their lives as they become adults. Also, parents need to know how they can nurture and foster resiliency in the home setting. Feel free to contact them if you have any additional questions.

8th Annual Golf Tournament

The 8th Annual Camden House Gold Tournament will be on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at the Osprey Cove Clubhouse.  11am check in and 1230pm Shotgun start.

Just want to play golf? $110 per player, $440 for foursome (includes mulligans, raffle tickets and other goodies)
*This is Camden House's major fundraiser of the year. All proceeds go to the shelter that protects the women and children who are escaping domestic violence.

Kings Bay Teen Program

The Teen Program is open to ALL teens in the public. 13-18 yrs. old- As long as individuals are still in High School. Programming is provided through partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club of America and Georgia 4-H.Transportation is provided from the HS to Kings Bay. Hours are 3-7 pm. Methodist Home Golf Classic

The Methodist Home for Children  & Youth is hosting its 8th Annual Methodist Home Golf Classic on April 28th at the The Club at Osprey Cove. The event will be in honor of Linda Moore and funds will benefit the boys in St. Marys.

Camden County Extension Office is offering a 4 week course where you can learn how to work with decision makers, influence management decisions and stop the spread of invasive species!

Camden Community  Resource Directory

An online Resource Directory is currently be developed through a partnership between the Camden County Board of Commissioners (CCBC), Camden Family Connection, and Georgia Center for Non-Profits (GCN). 

Camden Family Connection has agreed to provide and maintain a database of resources available to all Camden Citizens. The database started in partnership with GCN will be utilized to compile needed partner information for the resource page. We will also continue to use this to track possible service duplications, gaps, and strains.

Workplace Smoking Survey          

Please take a moment to help us with this quick survey about smoking and policies surrounding smoking at your place of work.  This information will be shared with the people at DBHDD to help plan for future prevention/ intervention programs involving tobacco products.   Your responses are anonymous unless you provide an email address for follow up for the question involving organizations policies.

Sponsored by the Camden Family Connection Collaborative, The Camden Hunger Hotline  is a volunteer managed and operated food assistance information and referral service. As displayed in the attached business card, the food insecure in Camden County may cal l:


between  8 a.m. - 8 p.m . to receive information about food assistance available in Camden County. This service is for those individuals and families that are struggling to avoid hunger and are not familiar with local food  assistance resources: locations, services provided, and access procedures.
