Dear Camp Chai Families,

Reluctantly, the Board and Staff of the JCC will not be able to offer Camp Chai this summer, in 2021. We took a lot of time to make this decision because we truly hoped to be able to bring all of your children together this summer.

There was just too much uncertainty in the world. The Sonoma County Parks could not reserve our wonderful site at Spring Lake Regional Park because of Covid-19 restrictions and they were uncertain if the swimming lagoon would open this summer. We sought advice from national Jewish organizations and in the end it was just too late to offer a safe and robust Jewish Day Camp this summer.

We hope you and your children will have a wonderful summer enjoying whatever you decide to do. We have found two Sonoma County based Jewish overnight camps offering one week sessions, if this is of interest to your family. Please see below more information. We will also include any Jewish Day Camp offerings in our Thursday e-news, in the community section, as information comes in.

Our sincere best to all of you,
Ellen Blustein
