Dear BIG TRIP ISRAEL prospective family,

We hope this letter finds you well. We know everyone is awaiting more information about the Summer 2024 BIG TRIP ISRAEL. While we continue to monitor the situation and work with our partners in Israel, unfortunately it is too early to make any definitive decision to change the trip for 2024. At this time, we are committed to an Israel trip for our entering 11th grade students. We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2024 BIG TRIP ISRAEL!

As you know, this experience is a unique opportunity for our campers to travel together, visiting places they have previously learned about. We believe this particular immersive Israel experience will not only broaden their horizons, but will also create lasting memories that will help shape their future as a Jewish adult.

We of course understand and relate to concerns given the recent events in Israel. We believe that now, more than ever, coming together as a Jewish community is important. While we do hope that we will be able to travel to Israel this summer, we understand that may not be possible and we are beginning to look at alternative BIG TRIP options. We are considering a variety of options both domestically and internationally.

Registration Information:

At this time, summer registration is only for the BIG TRIP ISRAEL program. To secure your child’s spot, a $100 non-refundable application fee and $250 tuition deposit is required. We certainly understand this is an investment, and we want to assure you that in the event our program changes or is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, tuition fees will be refundable.

After completing our registration through the Camp Stein portal, you’ll also complete a registration with our partner and program provider, Alexander Muss High School in Israel. They coordinate all logistics and programs in Israel, including our flights. You’ll receive an email from Camp Stein with links and more information once you’ve completed our registration and paid the deposit. As always, if you have any questions, we are happy to help.

Again this year we are participating in the RootOne Voucher opportunity, which provides a $3000 grant for each participant on our BIG TRIP ISRAEL. To receive this grant, participants will complete a specified number of programs and learning hours prior to the trip, including our own orientation sessions. There are also opportunities for our Phoenix-area campers to receive up to $1000 in additional scholarship.

We encourage you to consider this incredible opportunity for your child to explore the Israeli cultures, make lasting friendships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. We believe that experiences like this contribute to the personal growth and development of our campers, fostering a sense of global awareness and understanding.

Information Session:

We are hosting an information session at Congregation Beth Israel at 7pm on Thursday, December 14. Of course, if you have questions before then, feel free to reach out to any of us at Camp Stein.

Sincerely,

Stefani Rozen
