Summer 2021 Programming: A Historic Summer
Summer 2021 Traditional Camp programming will be cabin-based and campers are going to be a part of building new traditions and rituals at camp. It is hard to predict what new ideas and programs will last beyond Summer 2021, but many undoubtedly will.

Please share this quick video from Bernard with your campers to help get them thinking about the benefits of trying new things at camp and build excitement for this historic summer!

Horseback Riding Lessons
All campers in Traditional Camp will have the opportunity to try all camp activities this summer, including horseback riding! While we are not offering Ranch Camp this summer, Horseback Riding Lessons will be available to Traditional Campers during two week sessions: Sessions 2-5. This plan aligned better with the interest of our campers and creates more opportunities for all cabins to experience the horseback riding program.

If your camper is interested in spending additional time in the barn this summer, you can register next week: Tuesday, March 24 at 12 noon central – Thursday, March 26 at 12 noon central. Registration will be via CampInTouch by selecting the “Horseback Riding Lesson Registration” form under Forms & Documents.

Please note: the form is not yet posted on your CampInTouch account.

All camp activities are included with the fee for camp, and Horseback Riding Lessons is the only add-on program with an additional fee. The fee for Horseback Riding Lessons is $115 and families who receive fee assistance will also receive fee assistance for this additional option at the same rate.

Similar to the initial phases of camper registration, registrations received during this 48 hour window will be processed randomly. We plan to offer lessons at a fairly reduced capacity compared to previous years and initial registration will be limited to one week. If there is still space, registrations received after this time will be processed on a first come, first serve basis.

It’s important to note that cabins will be navigating the most of their activity schedule as a group. Horseback Riding Lessons are an exception and campers will attend lessons independent of their cabin. This means campers will miss an opportunity to attend other camp activities with their group in favor of horseback riding lessons.

If you have questions about Horseback Riding Lessons, please contact our team.

Save the Date: Virtual Info Nights
This April and May, we are hosting Zoom info sessions about each summer program as well as general sessions about COVID practices for both our on-site programs and adventure trips. We encourage both new and experienced Camp Echo campers and families to join us as we will be sharing information about programmatic changes as well as health and safety.

Camp Echo Wish List
Camp Echo has also compiled a specific wish list as we look to rebound from the financial impact of a canceled youth camp summer in 2020. Some items that we were ready to replace or add have been moved down our priority list. This list is an opportunity for friends of Camp Echo to help us in the areas that they are particularly passionate or excited about! Please click here to view the Camp Echo wish list.

To avoid any duplicate purchases, coordinate delivery, and ensure proper recognition, we ask that you let us know if you are purchasing or donating for a specific item by emailing our team!
