Session 1 - Volume 2 | July 8, 2022
A Note from the Camp Director
Dear Camp Families,

I can’t believe that we’re already at the end of the second week of camp! We are having so much fun that time just flies by. Here are a few reminders as we look forward to week 3.

Lunches/Backpacks: Your child should only be bringing their lunch box (containing lunch, snack, and mask) and water bottle to camp. Please do not send a large bookbag or other items as space is at a premium and our lost & found is growing.

Instruments: Parent of Campers in 3rd grade and up, campers bring their focus instruments to and from camp daily. Feel free to encourage your camper to practice and show you what they’ve learned!

The Parent Portal has exciting new updates. You can check it out by clicking the highlighted link below.

All-Camp & Musical Theatre Performances
All-Camp Performances are this Friday.
Due to COVID-19 precautions and space occupancy, families and friends are not invited this year. Campers will be performing for their camp community. Performances will be recorded and shared with families.
All campers should wear their Camp Levine t-shirts for both days.

Performance Videos: We want you to be able to enjoy your camper’s performance in the safety and comfort of your home. All camp families will be emailed a link to their site & session's performance video as soon as it is available. It may take us awhile to edit and send them, but they will be on their way as soon as we complete them!

Attendance: Please email [email protected] if your camper will be missing any days next week. It is important to for us take this into account while we are planning the rehearsal and performance.

Instruments: Instruments will not travel home next Thursday afternoon.
Lost & Found: A photo is attached of our current lost & found. Recognize anything?

Happy Friday,
Mary Cat Gill

Film Reels (PK)
The castle on the playground is our favorite thing! Our best activity is arts and crafts-everyone is very talented. We like to share our musical experiences during visiting instruments. We love to play the guitar! We did a dance to Under the Sea and had a lot of fun.
-Anya and Selah
Popcorns (K)
These kids are great! They read stories and like to interact with the instruments. We haven't had any behavioral issues with them and they are always enthusiastic about camp. These kids are working hard in art and are becoming good friends with one another!
-Theo and Maya

Summer Themed!
What do you get when you combine an elephant with a fish?
Swimming Trunks!

Why did the dolphin cross the beach?
To get to the other tide!

What kind of tree fits in your hand?
A palm tree!

Candies (K)
This week, the Candies worked hard to color a strange puzzle that was later revealed to be the Levine logo. Every morning we start off with doing 3 warm ups (one for our body, one for our voice, and one for our minds). For our body warm up, we shake out our bodies by waving our hands up in the air and shaking our feet and legs towards the ground. To warm up our voices, we sing our Good Morning song. Finally, to warm up our minds we bring out our Magic Box (a game where the kids have to take something out and act out how to use the thing they took out). Later, we move over to our word of the day which usually has something to do with plays/movies/musicals/shows. Then we have a little brain break while waiting for our visiting instrument.
-Lily L., Lily M.

Scores (1st Grade)
For morning sing we sang Walking on Sunshine. In art we made cute little bookmarks of the kids’ favorite characters. For music class we sang This is Me from The Greatest Showman. After lunch we played games like sharks and minnows which the children loved. Then the kids went to their sampler classes to try out instruments to see what they like.
