Where Resilience Grows: This Veterans Day Celebrate Service, Support Healing, Stay Involved.

A Letter from the Heart

Reflections from My Run

By Jeff Ladieu, Executive Director

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Fellow Patriots,

As I reflect on the 222 miles I ran across our beautiful state of New Hampshire during The Run for Resilience, I’m overwhelmed, not by exhaustion, but by the outpouring of support, love, and shared purpose that carried me every single step of the way.

This journey was deeply personal. Each mile was more than a stretch of road; it was a tribute. A tribute to the 22 Veterans we lose each day to suicide. A tribute to the countless First Responders and service members who give their all, yet too often suffer in silence. And above all, it was a call to every one of us to rise together in compassion, awareness, and action.

Throughout the run, I had the honor of sharing moments and conversations with people from every walk of life; community members, educators, town leaders, state officials, Veterans, and First Responders. Your words, your stories, your embraces, and your encouragement meant more than I can express. You reminded me why this mission matters so deeply.

I am filled with gratitude for the hundreds who showed up along the route cheering, donating, and spreading the word. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised nearly $90,000 for Camp Resilience, and we’re still pushing toward our goal of $100,000. These funds are not just numbers, they are fuel for healing, for programming, for connection, and for hope. If you haven't had a chance to contribute, the door remains open. Together, we can get there.

What we do at Camp Resilience is rooted in restoring lives. We build strength not only in body, but in spirit. We offer support not just to Veterans, but to their families and to the First Responders who serve us here at home with equal sacrifice and courage.

Let’s not let this conversation fade at the finish line. Please keep talking. Keep listening. Keep reaching out to one another. And never hesitate to reach out to me or anyone at Camp Resilience. We are here. Always.

This run may be over, but the mission endures. And because of you, our passionate, generous, unwavering community…we are stronger and more united than ever.

With profound gratitude and renewed resolve,

- Jeff ......... .

Reflections from an Equine Retreat...

“Where the Silence Breathes”

No words pass between them –

just the hush of warm breath,

The soft rhythm of hooves on earth,

And a gaze that doesn’t flinch.

The horse does not ask

What he saw, or what he did.

It does not recoil from the storms

still echoing behind his eyes.

It simply stands –

heart steady,

body still,

offering silence like a balm.

In that silence,

the soldier finds something he lost;

a moment without fear,

a space untouched by war,

a kind of peace

that only the quiet can carry.
