Today's Adventure Recap & Announcements

Good Evening,


Campers enjoyed making crafts, playing games, and touring the Chesapeake Bay on their party boat field trip. Campers may continue to think about a superhero costume for Thursday and talent to share with their peers on Friday.


Specialty Classes- Horsemanship, Cooking class, and swim lessons will be held tomorrow for ages 6-11.


WHEEL DAY- Tomorrow is "Wheel Wednesday." Campers may bring their bicycles, skates, skateboards, or scooters. Please remember to bring a helmet labeled with your camper's name.

This Week's Specialized Activities

Specialty activities are one time per week; however, they may occur on multiple days to accommodate the number of campers enrolled.

  • Art- Monday, Tuesday
  • Gymnastics- Monday, Tuesday
  • Cooking- Wednesday
  • Horsemanship- Wednesday
  • Field Trip- Tuesday
  • Adventure Course- Monday, Tuesday (New)
  • SWIM LESSONS- Tuesday (Ages 4-5); Wednesday (Ages 6-12)


*Campers who have a weekly lunch pass and are attending field trips will receive a bagged lunch on field trip days if they are unable to eat lunch at camp prior to trip departure.

Field Trip Chaperone Details!

Parents and guardians are welcome to chaperone field trips. Some trips may require admission fees for chaperones.


Our next trip will be to the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum. Please email [email protected] if you'd like to chaperone.


Requirements to Chaperone- All chaperones must successfully pass a criminal background screening and attend a volunteer briefing session prior to departing for the trip. There is a $15 administrative fee for the screening that can be paid online.

This Week's Daily Themes & What to Bring

We're back to a regular week of camp, so campers will not need to bring their wheels until Wednesday!


Daily Theme Activities:


Monday- Campers may start thinking about a talent that they'd like to share with their classmates for Friday's class presentations.


Tuesday- Field Trip- "Maryland Party Boat Tour"

Wednesday- Wheel Day! Campers may bring their bicycles, skates, skateboards, or scooters. Don't forget your helmet. Wheels will return home at the end of the day.


Thursday- Campers may bring a superhero outfit! Create your own character or dress as your favorite

character from books or movies.


Friday- Campers may bring items needed to share their talent with their classmates (i.e., an instrument, building project, or artwork).

ORDER DINNER FROM MARTHA'S KITCHEN

Martha's Kitchen is now open for dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm. Martha's Kitchen is a mobile kitchen located on our campus. Families can order their dinners at the Martha's Kitchen website, www.marthas2go.com, then pick up their fresh-cooked meals at the yellow food truck.


Wednesday's Meal: Slow-cooked beef roast, garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, fresh fruit, & a brownie bite!

EARLY PICK UP & LATE DROP OFF AREAS

No Cell Phones, Tablets, or Electronics

No Phones- Camp Rock is an "Electronics-Free" zone.
We really want children to unplug from their devices and connect with others. Please leave phones and tablets at home or in the car. If you need to relay a message to your camper, please contact
