Camp SEA Lab Officially Joins WOLF School!
Dear Friends of Web of Life Field (WOLF) School,

Web of Life Field (WOLF) School and UCCR are pleased to announce that Camp SEA Lab has officially joined the WOLF School family.

Camp SEA Lab is a non-profit education organization based in Monterey that fosters lifelong excitement, scientific understanding, and stewardship of our coasts and ocean by providing quality marine-oriented programs that promote science, education, and adventure for youth. Since 2000, they have offered summer camps for youth to experience the rich diversity of life in the Monterey Bay, and have expanded into outdoor education programs to schools in California.

Beginning this spring, Camp SEA Lab is offering spring break camp, afternoon school enrichments for students, and will be opening summer camp registration soon. In upcoming months, look for an announcement about our marine-based outdoor science school openings.

For years, WOLF School has been working side by side in the Santa Cruz/Monterey Area with Camp SEA Lab and has a great appreciation for the marine programs offered by this well-respected organization. When the opportunity arose to have them join WOLF, it was an immediate fit! WOLF School is eager to share this new opportunity to learn about the web of life in a marine environment with our students and teachers. Now WOLF students really can experience and discover all of California, from the Trees to the Seas!

Camp SEA Lab programs immerse students in the world around them with hands-on experiences. Students have the opportunity to explore on and under the water through kayaking, tidepooling, snorkeling the kelp forest, exploring wave action on surfboards, and studying the ocean utilizing labs and experiments. This helps students understand not only how the ocean looks, feels, and functions, but also begin to learn why the ocean is vitally important to the entire rest of the world.

Check out the announcement that was sent to the Camp SEA Lab community last week. We are very excited to be part of this process! Look for more information on registering for summer camp and outdoor science school programs soon.

Dear SEA Lab Community,

We are thrilled to announce that we have found our new parent organization!

After a tumultuous year both globally and locally, Camp SEA Lab has found a home. Thank you for your continued support during our transition from our former parent organization, California State University, Monterey Bay. We are now part of the Web of Life Field (WOLF) School, the outdoor school component of United Camps, Conferences & Retreats.

Web of Life Field School is a Santa Cruz-based outdoor science school, with closely aligned values and missions to Camp SEA Lab. Since 1989, WOLF School has been creating engaging and impactful outdoor experiences for K-12 students.

The mission of WOLF School is to build respect, appreciation and stewardship within the web of life and their vision is to inspire youth to connect with the natural world in order to better understand their place within it.

Our partnership with WOLF School is exciting for a wide host of reasons, and we look forward to our collaboration in the coming years. For now, we are particularly excited to announce that our partnership with WOLF School has allowed us to successfully begin our spring programs and will allow us to run summer day camps and Voyage Seaward this year!

Spring break camp was a blast, and enrichment programs are off to a fabulous start.

Registration for summer camp will open next week, so stay tuned. We will update our website and send out announcements with registration links.

Thank you for being a part of this journey!
