Dear Session 1 Families!

We’re so excited to have you at Camp Winona! We know you have been looking forward to this all year and it is finally here. Today is your day to make sure bags are packed and you have everything you need!

Let’s start with the exciting stuff.

Welcome to JURASSIC CAMP!

Here’s what to expect

This summer you’ll step into our very own Jurassic world here at camp! Camp miners discovered mosquitoes preserved in Amber and now you can experience dinosaurs in real life.

You’ll step back in time and walk with the most extraordinary creatures from T-Rexs, Spinosaurus’, Velcoiraptors, Allosaurus, Brachiosaurus and many more!

What to Wear?

Take a look at our packing list in the Parent Packet to know all the normal things to bring, but if you have a park ranger outfit, (like a shirt and cargo shorts), or even better a dinosaur costume, please bring it along!

 Improving The Camp Experience

Camp Store – We do not use cash on camp. Click the link to put money in your camp store account before check in. Typically, $25 is enough for special snacks for the week and $50 or more for camp merchandise.

Mail – Mail drop off can be done at check in. Many parents who send mail pre-write letters and we hand them out throughout the week. You can also send emails to the [email protected]. These are printed and handed out at noon. You can also leave care packages.

Cookie Orders – A dozen cookies are delivered to your camper’s cabin to share! All the money goes to camper scholarships!

Add ons – We have paintball, high ropes, sailing, and the weekend holdover which keeps campers at camp between sessions or till Sunday morning. Ask about these at check in.

DON’T FORGET!

We recommend filling these forms out online/printing them and then emailing them back, but you can also bring them with you when you drop your child(ren) off. However showing up with forms on the day will lead to a delay in check-in.

             Medications

All Medications must be in original containers. No camper is allowed to keep medications with them unless authorized (inhalers, epi-pens, etc.). Over the counter medication can be checked in with the nurse.

             Final Payments

Please make sure your entire payment for camp has been made. This can be done by logging on to your account. If payment is not completed, it will be handled at check in.

             Financial Assistance

Camp is still distributing financial assistance. If your family is looking for help in affording camp, especially if your family is a part of the military please let us know. Camp raises scholarships every year to make camp possible. Please complete and email this application form to [email protected]
