Message from our Executive Director
Campaign season is upon us and you will soon be casting your vote on many important issues. Here at the San Marcos Promise, we are on a year-round campaign supporting the futures of the 21,000 students in the San Marcos Unified School District. So in the spirit of the election season, we're asking for your "vote" in supporting STUDENT FUTURES.

The San Marcos Promise’s "platform" is to make the communities of North San Diego County the most sought after places to live and work by investing in our San Marcos Unified School District students to ensure their college, career, and life readiness. There's no debating the fact that EVERY student deserves the opportunity to graduate high school with a sense of self, purpose, and direction, coupled with the knowledge, skills, and resources to navigate their future path forward. This takes the collective efforts of education, business & industry, and community leaders... so we need your help!

Will you join us in voting YES for student futures? You can show your support by donating your time, talent and treasures. And just as every vote counts in elections, so does every dollar and volunteer when it comes to helping us achieve our mission. Thank you!
Randy Walton honored as Director Emeritus
The San Marcos Promise would like to recognize Randy Walton for his continued dedication to the students of San Marcos. Randy has been honored by the TSMP Board of Directors as Director Emeritus.

Along with Dr. Kevin Holt, Randy was responsible for securing the $6 million dollar grant from Leichtag Foundation in 2007 that started the PACE Promise, which eventually evolved into The San Marcos Promise. As one of the founders of The San Marcos Promise, Randy’s passion and hard work is helping to ensure all students find their post-high school path. Congratulations to Randy Walton on this honor. Thank you to our founding, former and current board members who are helping build dreams, pathways and prosperity!
“What we do as a foundation is essential to the futures of all 21,000 students in the San Marcos Unified School District and the vibrance of our local community and economy.” -Randy Walton
