New Campbell Police Department Facility Strengthens Public Safety

Campbell's Police Department has long been recognized for its professionalism, innovation, and commitment to the community. Now, it has a facility to match.

The City's new Police Operations Building officially opened July 10, providing officers and professional staff with the modern tools and workspace they need to continue delivering great service.

The new, 27,500-square-foot facility includes an upgraded dispatch center, a Real-Time Intelligence Center, modern training facilities, and an Emergency Operations Center to improve coordination during major incidents. The facility provides officers and professional staff with the space and technology needed to serve Campbell today and into the future.

For Campbell businesses, a safe community and strong public safety services help create an environment where customers, employees, and investment can thrive. The project was funded primarily through Measure O, the $50 million bond measure approved by Campbell voters in 2018. Read more in San Jose Spotlight.

The BIG Number

Each newsletter, we take a look at a different economic indicator in Campbell. This month's BIG Number: 4.88%.

That's the increase in Campbell's assessed property value as of Jan. 1, 2026, bringing the City's total assessment roll to more than $16 billion for the first time. Campbell came in ninth among Santa Clara County's 15 cities for assessment roll growth in 2026.

The assessment roll reflects the taxable value of homes, businesses, and other property throughout the city. While not a direct measure of the economy, steady growth in assessed value is one indicator of continued investment and development in the Campbell community.

Property taxes are the largest contributor to the City's General Fund, helping to pay for everything from public safety services to parks to roads and sidewalks. Read the full press release on this year's assessment roll from the Santa Clara County Assessor.
