Bible Study
Bible study is held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month.  Our next Bible Study will be Wednesday, June 12th at 6pm, in the Fireside Room.  Everyone is welcome to attend and no previous attendance is required.

Try your hand at acting!  Lighted Window Presents auditions for its summer production I'm Not Rappaport, a Tony Award Winning comedy about aging, friendship and survival in the modern world. Auditions will take place in Nelson Hall this Thursday, June 6 th at 7:30pm.   All those auditioning will read parts from the script.  For more info, please see Flo Galvez or call the church office at 408-378-4418.

World Oceans Day
On Worlds Oceans Day, People around our Blue Planet celebrate and honor the ocean, which connects us all.  Celebrate World oceans day by volunteering in SF more info HERE.  Or perhaps we could plan a Blue Theology roadtrip to visit with Rev. Deborah Streeter this summer!  
OCI UpCycle
Orchard City Indivisible's annual Upcycle Rummage Sale takes place this Saturday, June 8th in Nelson Hall from 8am-2pm.  Feel free to bring donations such as antiques & collectables, electronics, toys, jewelry, holiday and home d├ęcor. Whether you're shopping or donating know all the proceeds benefit organizations like ACLU, Sacred Heart, and even our own Food PantrySee you there! 
Rainbow Womens Chorus
Click here to preorder tickets for either of this weekends Rainbow Women's Chorus Concerts. They take place in Campbell UCC's Sanctuary on Saturday June 8th at 7:30pm and Sunday June 9th at 3pm. Social Justice Small Group
Our next Social Justice Small Group meeting will be on Sunday, June 16th, from 7 to 8:30 pm, in the Fireside Room. During our April meeting the group chose two areas of focus to explore further: 1) Transgender and LGBTQIA human rights; and 2) expanding services to our houseless and food insecure Food Pantry patrons. At our next meeting we will discuss possible educational events to help us better understand and support our Transgender community. Feel free to bring a dessert to share during our meeting. All are welcome.

Bring a reusable container along for restaurant leftovers.
Next time you go out to eat bring a reusable container for your leftovers. One time use plastic and styrofoam containers are easily replaced with a reusable container. You can leave one by the door, in your backpack, or in your car so that you remember it.

Thanks to members and friends who frequently donate travel-sized shampoos, shower gels, lotions etc. However, our supplies are running low.  Please bring what you can and give to Angie or leave them in her shelter cupboard.

Lighted window presents needs hospitality team volunteers

SURJ Book Club
Note from Pastor Naomi
The next SURJ (Showing Up For Racial Justice) Book Club gathering will take place Saturday June 9th from 11-1pm . The first hour is devoted to silent reading and the second hour to discussion and ideas for action.  Feel free to join in at anytime.

The book club is reading "The End Of Policing" by Alex Vitale.  

The meeting takes place upstairs at Pier 402 which is at 238 Race Street in San Jose.   Peter Parris, Lighted Window Presents actor and Old Orchard School History Teacher, is the moderator for each session.
