Campfire Chronicle #1 | March 2025

Welcome Campers!

We are so excited to celebrate our 45th summer at Camp Three Rivers—can you believe we’re middle-aged now?! Bring on the dad jokes and yacht rock—it’s time to party!

Here at Concord Recreation, we’re all about fun, friendship, and creating meaningful memories. That’s why we’re launching our very own camp newsletter—Campfire Chronicle! Each month, you’ll get behind-the-scenes updates, sneak peeks, helpful tips, and fun surprises—all curated by yours truly, with contributions from my amazing team.

Join us on this adventure as we count down to another unforgettable summer!

IMPORTANT INFO & UPDATES

  • New Start Date: Due to winter weather closures, Concord's school year ends Monday, June 16. As a result, camp will begin on Tuesday, June 17. Additional communication will be sent to families registered for Week 1, and refunds will be provided for the missed day.

  • Got old camp shirts? If your kids have outgrown theirs, we’d love to give them a second life! Wash and drop off any gently used camp shirts at our office, and we’ll put them to good use.

  • New 5th Grade Group: Due to high demand, we’re expanding our 5th-grade roster—introducing the Falcons!
  • Meet Molly Magnette! Our team is growing at Concord Recreation, and we’re excited to welcome a new full-time face at the Front Desk! Molly will be the go-to person for parents checking in for late drop-offs and early dismissals. Be sure to say hello next time you stop by!

What’s your background in working with children and running camps?

"I grew up a camp kid. I spent a lot of time outside and attended a lot of different summer camp programs. In college, I studied Outdoor Education and spent the summers as a wilderness guide in the Adirondacks of upstate New York. I was the Assistant Director of a trip camp for 2 summers and then Director of La Vida Adventure Camp before joining Camp Three Rivers. Camp is such a wonderful place to build relationships and create meaningful memories. I am looking forward to another summer of fun and adventure!"

What do you love most about being a camp director?

"The opportunity to witness young people having fun and trying new things in a safe and caring community."

What’s your camp nickname, and how did you get it?

"Mr. Sam. Came with the job."
