Campfire Chronicle #6 | January 2026

Welcome Back Campers!

During this chilly time of year, we’re already dreaming of sunshine, splash days, and camp songs. Planning for Summer 2026 is officially underway here at Concord Recreation, and we’re so excited to welcome families back for another season at Camp Three Rivers.

Camp registration opens next week, so here’s everything you need to know — plus a few insider tips to help registration day go smoothly.

Summer 2026 Registration:

  • Residents - 2/4/26 7:30am
  • Non-Residents - 2/11/26 7:30am

What to Expect on Registration Day:

  • Camp Three Rivers programs will be listed at the top of the program registration page and organized by gradebe sure to select the grade your camper is entering in Fall 2026
  • Programs will be visible ahead of time, but you won’t be able to add anything to your cart until 7:30 AM
  • Each camp week is a separate activity, so you’ll need to add each week individually for each child
  • A non-refundable 50% deposit is due at checkout

My Best Registration Tips:

  • If a week fills up, join the waitlist right awaywe pull from the list in time order, and movement often happens early
  • Week 9 has limited space we recommend registering for that week first, then circling back for others
  • Don’t stress about Extended Care right away — that can be added later
  • Log into your MyRec account before registration opens
  • Have a Visa or MasterCard ready (saved on file or in your browser) to move quickly
  • If you run into trouble, email is faster than calling: concordrec@concordma.gov
  • If your camper is entering Kindergarten in the fall, make sure their current grade is listed as Pre-K (not “None”)
  • Only register for the Inclusion Program if your camper has an IEP or 504 Plan - all registrants will be put on a waitlist immediately, our Inclusion Director will reach out for an intake assessment

We’re all about fun, friendship, and meaningful summer memories — and this newsletter is your inside look at how it all comes together. Campfire Chronicle will bring you behind-the-scenes updates, helpful reminders, sneak peeks, and plenty of camp joy throughout the season.

Thanks for being part of our camp community. We can’t wait to kick off another unforgettable summer with you!
