In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, campers and outdoor lovers have been missing their favorite outdoor spaces. We all watched state and national parks close and reopen several times, and it seemed as if new information regarding stay at home orders was being released everyday. In December, RV parks and campgrounds were instructed to close in compliance with the former regional stay at home orders announced by the state.
After a few short weeks of closures, we are pleased to announce that RV parks and campgrounds in California are OPEN! Although privately owned RV parks and campgrounds have continued to operate as essential business throughout the pandemic, the restrictions on nonessential overnight stays in campgrounds has been lifted. Additionally, California State Parks has began the phased reopening of their campgrounds, beginning with current reservation holders and extending to new reservations in the coming weeks.
As we begin transitioning to the absolute best time for camping in California, please be advised to plan your trips in advance; there will be many eager campers waiting to hit the road as the weather warms up and restrictions are cleared this season, so be sure to start planning your perfect camping getaway now!*
