HOWDY, CAMPERS!

Just wanted to reach out to you before RUN WOODSTOCK race weekend! We are SO excited to get the party started.

PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH AND CLICK ALL THE LINKS YOU SEE, AND READ ALL THIS VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION! THERE WILL BE A TEST! No, there wont... but it will be a lot easier to know what is going on!

Passes went out in the mail, if you did not already receive your car pass you will receive it soon! If you do not receive it prior to race weekend, don't panic! I will be at the gate all weekend long and can make you a new pass.If you purchased additional weekend pass bracelets you will pick those up at registration. Registration will be open from 11AM-8PM on Friday, and 5AM-7:45AM on Saturday.

If you signed up for Thursday night camping you will receive an additional e-mail with Thursday check in instructions.

All cars MUST check in at the gate. Even if you know where you're headed, for the safety of participants and campers we need to manage all traffic at Run Woodstock as the course passes through the campground.

Check in for camping will begin at 11AM on Friday, and will go until 11PM! If you will not be arriving before 11PM, please call or text Anna Friday evening when you arrive, (248) 921-6940. This way we can help to ensure you locate the correct campsite. If you will be arriving in the middle of the night (after midnight... we STRONGLY DISCOURAGE THIS) PLEASE e-mail me before Friday. It will be challenging but we will try to get you in and situated.

UPON ARRIVAL

Please have your camping pass in hand upon arrival, this will speed things up for you at the gate. We will make a mark on your window to indicate that you have been checked in. If you drive past us quickly with your windows up please know you will be stopped several more times and required to come back, PLEASE STOP AND CHECK IN.

We suggest you do not plan your arrival between 3:45 and 4:15PM. The 100 Mile and K will take off at 4PM and you will be stuck at the gate!

IF YOU NEED TO COME AND GO

The commune is extremely congested on Friday, If you do need to come and go (We suggest you plan to come and go as LITTLE as possible :) ) traffic in camp is ONE WAY. You must always travel the full loop to exit. Road is one lane through camp, please drive SLOWLY and heed all signs and volunteers.

Fairy Land - you will come through the Hilltop area to get to Fairy Land.

Astral Plane - You are the ONLY camp area that is allowed to go straight when you hit the start/finish area, but you will still EXIT in the southeast corner of Astral Plane and exit like all other campers.

ADDITIONAL VEHICLES

Only ONE car is permitted per site. All other cars will need to be parked in the main lot.

HOW TO CAMP

Run Woodstock campsites are indicated by painted white lines and small stakes with your site number. Your site number is in the MIDDLE of your site! Sites are NARROW so please do not spread past your white lines. Pink lines indicate the "road" through your camping area. Here are some samples of how to camp your site:

COMMUNE STYLE

Run Woodstock camping is COMMUNE style, man! Sites may not be perfectly flat or shaped in a perfect rectangle! Dig the Run Woodstock vibes.

F.A.Q.

Q: Can we build a fire on our campsite?

A: Each camping "area" will have 1-2 large communal fire pits We will provide firewood for these fires and for safety reasons we ask that you please do not make a fire on your site. There are too many sites in too small of an area.

Q: Can we bring a generator?

A: Unfortunately for the safety and comfort of yourself and those around you we would ask that a gas generator not be used for any significant length of time in the camping area. We welcome solar generators and any other battery powered charging stations. The building closest to the Freak Flag campground will be open all weekend long and has power and plenty of charging stations as well.

Q: Are there restrooms at the campsites?

A: Each camping area will have both a latrine as well as port-o-johns and hand washing station. The main bath house has showers available to campers all weekend long.

Q: Will there be ice for sale?

A: We will have ice available for purchase during packet pick up hours Friday, and until NOON on Saturday. Cash only $5/bag. This will be at the front of the campground by the registration tent.

Q: Is there any electric available?

A: There is no electric available in the campground but there will be a charging station at the building on the FREAK FLAG area.

If you have additional questions please e-mail anna@rfevents.com.

KEEPING CAMP CLEAN

PACK IN! PACK OUT! All campers are responsible for dealing with their own campsite waste. Please take your trash with you when you go, for your convenience we will have a camping dumpster located right by the exit if you need to drop anything on your way out. While packing your camping gear pack trash bags/cans and PLAN AHEAD. As you can imagine, camp is LARGE and there are a TON of you so we will not be collecting trash from camping areas.

We look forward to mellowing out with you,
