NEWS & OPPORTUNITIES

A Choral Christmas-December 16, 10:45am

The Choral Christmas service will feature the musical, "When We Needed a King". The Cantata will be performed by The Adventist Chorale of Northern Colorado and Orchestra directed by George Swanson. It will also feature Campion's Children's Chorus directed by Mary Orland. Christmas cookies and holiday treats will be served after the service. If members could bring 2-3 dozen cookies or treats to share. You can bring them to the church office in the days before if needed. This is an opportunity to invite friends and family who do not ordinarily attend.

 

Caroling and Sweater Drive: This Sabbath we are warming hearts in more ways than one! Join Adventist Young Professionals on Sabbath, December 16th at 3:00pm for an afternoon of caroling and collecting sweater donations for those in need. We’ll meet at Clearview Park, next to Elwell Elementary School: 155 Silverbell Dr, Johnstown, CO. To help bring to church a clean, gently used sweater to donate! RSVP to Caleb Cook at 720-668-2577. 

 

The Candlelight Christmas Program will be on December 24, at 4:00 p.m. in the church Sanctuary. The program will include vocal and instrumental music performed by local musicians. There will be a short Christmas reflection, congregational singing, and a reading of the Christmas story. The service will conclude with the congregation singing “Silent Night” while holding lit candles. There will be a Christmas cookie reception following the service. Bring 2 dozen cookies to share.

 


Host Families—Campion Academy is in need of more host families for international students during the school breaks. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry. The Loveland Adventist Community Services needs your help to purchase a new upright freezer as the old one accumulates frost. Please mark your donation “Loveland ACS.”. If someone has one to donate in good condition, it can’t be more than 31 inches wide. Get in touch with Sadie Torrez, ACS director, at 970-372-7266.. We also need bath towels and washcloths, rugs, kitchen items, water bottles, full and queen size sheets, and blankets. At this time, we don’t need clothing. Please drop items at the ACS located at 930 Cleveland on Tuesdays from 9:30 to 12:00 pm or call Sadie to make other arrangements.. Thank you for your help.

We are constantly amazed at how blessed we are to be a part of such a loving and generous community. Thank you to everyone who has prayed and encouraged us, given of their time and talents, and for blessing us financially this year. May God bless you and keep you this Christmas! HMS Gym Update…Thank you!

Extreme Makeover - Mother’s Room Edition

The 5th & 6th grade class along with several volunteers were working on making the mother’s room a warm and inviting place for you and your young children. Please stop by and see the finished product.

A Candlelight Christmas with the Cookenmaster Family is coming to the Fort Collins Adventist Church Saturday evening, December 23 at 5:00 p.m. This is a benefit concert to support Fort Collins Christian School. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. Seating is limited and tickets are required. To purchase tickets go

and choose eTickets. Tickets are $7.00 each and various holiday cookies and drink items will be available for cash purchase before and after the program. Campion members will be excited to know that Roger and Shannon Hagen’s son, Grant, will be performing in this concert.
