Happy New Year from Campion's Pastoral Team

Sermon Series Starting January 13
Our Church in Action
10 Days of Prayer:
January 10-20

What better way to kickoff 2018 than to start with passionate, united, campus-wide prayer? Be ready to join together in prayer from January 10 through 20. It was Ellen White who penned these words: "The greatest victories to the church of Christ or to the individual Christian, are not those that are gained by talent or education, by wealth, or the favor of men. They are those victories that are gained in the audience chamber with God, when earnest, agonizing faith lays hold upon the mighty arm of power" (Patriarchs and Prophets, 203). If she's right, can you imagine what would happen on our campus if we persistently and unitedly knocked on God's doors for heaven's blessings?

Here are some things you can expect during our 10 Days of Prayer. Students at Campion Academy plan to have stations available for prayer. The campus pastoral team will provide devotional video vignettes to fix our minds on Jesus. You'll have the opportunity to knock on heaven's doors with a prayer partner. We'll join our world church in praying and exploring Jesus, our High Priest. And we'll have three specific and united prayer goals from each entity on our campus: HMS Richards Adventist School, Campion Academy, and Campion Church. You won't want to miss being a part of this event. Let's get ready to pray!

All About People
Paul & Lani Willis

Paul's parents were teachers and their family once accepted a call to teach a year at La Vita Mission.  After graduating from Walla Walla, being familiar with missionary work, Paul visited a friend in Guadalajara, Mexico, who needed help with an electrical project.  Later, another friend who worked in the Philippines at the Seventh-day Adventist Hospital needed help, so Paul went and while there he met Lani, who is trained as a physical therapist but has also done dialysis, x-ray tech work and was a professor at the hospital.

Lani had a Christian teacher who taught religion. As a result she kept studying and became a Seventh-day Adventist.  Her family wasn't happy but they finally accepted the fact that she's not going to return to the Catholic religion.  Paul and Lani have three girls, Suelita, six years old, Liana, five years old and Kaihla, almost four years old.

When the Thousand Oaks Adventist Media Center closed in 2013 and each ministry transferred to a new location, Paul and his family spent the next year living in hotels as he and a fellow worker worked to get each of the ministries fully functional in IT.  When that was completed, they then accepted a call to the Voice of Prophecy where Paul is the Technologies Ministries Director.
