NEW: GOVTREK FROM AAUW This is a free, two-month virtual statewide program for junior and senior girls designed to elevate a new generation to pursue careers in public service and elected office. During five two-hour sessions, students will engage in interactive activities with exposure to women legislators, career options, and the inner workings of a political campaign. NEW: MARINE MAMMAL EVENT January 28, 1:00-3:00pm (CA time), on Zoom. The Marine Mammal Center in Hawaii is hosting a free, virtual Stewardship Saturday this month! This program features rotating themes such as shadowing careers related to marine mammals, venturing through various natural spaces associated with marine mammals, creating action projects, and more. NEW: NAVIANCE WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS Naviance is used by our district to manage information for the college admissions process and to help students assess their career options. Learn how to use it to find colleges, enter information for Counselor Letters, build a resume, research careers and more. Parents of any grade are welcome.
