CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS CAREER TALK FOR STUDENTS What is Corporate Communications? Come listen to Chief Communications Officer, Terra Carmichael of StockX at lunch on Friday, February 23. She’ll talk about her career journey, what to study in college, and about her special interests in communications strategy, employee communications, executive branding/communications, issues/crisis management, and creative execution. BSU DANCE Miramonte's BSU and Leadership will be hosting a district-wide Mardi Gras dance for all students on February 23 from 7-9pm! Along with dancing and an awesome DJ, there will be food, 360 open-air video booth, a place to hang out with friends, and an airbrush tattoo artist! COMPASSIONATE COUGAR We had a very successful first round of Compassionate Cougar last semester, with four great winners. This semester, we want to have a second round of Compassionate Cougars. Nominate someone you know who shows kindness and empathy on an everyday basis. Nominations can be found on the QR codes around campus.

POETRY AND CREATIVE WRITING The Poetry and Creative Writing Club is hosting a joint event with Miramonte. They are holding a writing competition, culminating in an open mic from 5-7pm on March 1 in the Miramonte library.

Volunteering for the CPC is not only rewarding, but also makes a difference in the experience for all of our Campo students and parents. CAMPOLINDO TOURS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS Tours will be offered to prospective students and their families on March 6, and April 3. The tours will visit a variety of classrooms and featured locations on campus, followed by a Q&A at the end. Tours meet in “A Hall West” outside the Attendance Office at 3:30pm. NEW: VISION MENTORSHIP & OUTREACH PROGRAM VISION is an all-expense paid mentorship and outreach program for high school students (Grades 9-12), sponsored by the Vietnamese Student Association at UC Berkeley. The program takes place April 4-April 7 at UC Berkeley. The goal for VISION is to empower mentees to become culturally educated leaders who will initiate change within their communities with the intention of bettering the future. Participants will be chosen based on the quality of essays, leadership potential, and enthusiasm for learning. Applicants from ALL backgrounds and ethnicities are encouraged to apply; the application is open to all grade levels in high school, regardless of GPA. NEW: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Sign up to volunteer for the BSU and Leadership hosted AUHSD Dance at Miramonte on Friday, February 23. This dance "A Night in New Orleans" has a Mardi Gras theme and is open to all students in the AUHSD. It is a major fundraiser for the Black Student Union and a great opportunity for all of us to celebrate Black Excellence Month. Tickets purchased from your student's school will provide funds for the BSU at your school. Volunteer your time to chaperone, setup, takedown or bring food here. NEW: JOIN US FOR A POWERFUL EVENING ABOUT OVERCOMING CHALLENGES In the 2017 Collegiate Rugby National Championship, Robert Paylor broke his neck and his life changed in an instant when he became paralyzed. Everyone is paralyzed by something, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. His message stirs others to cultivate purpose in their lives, fully access their inner resilience, develop a reflexive sense of gratitude, and maintain positivity through even the most daunting challenges. This event will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 7pm, at the Acalanes Performing Arts Center. Please register here.
NEW: HELP FUND THE LARAMIE PROJECT Please join Campo DEIB in raising $3,000 for the Spring 2024 student production of The Laramie Project. This compelling play helps to generate important community and student dialogue around issues of respect, equality, and acceptance. This production is taking place due to the inspired and determined efforts of dozens of talented student leaders. Let's show them our support! Your tax deductible donation will help with production rights, theater technician, costumes and materials for stage sets.
