NEW: CAMPO PARENTS BOOKCLUB Please join us for our spring CPC Bookclub meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 7pm in the Campo Library. The book is: Grown and Flown, How to Support Your Teen, Stay Close as a Family, and Raise Independent Adults by Lisa Heffernan and Mary Del Harrington. Featuring a combination of stories, advice from professionals, and practical sidebars, the authors cover topics such as family life, high school academics, happiness and mental health, college admissions and college life. Addressing the high school years and those first years of independence, they cover everything from the monumental (how to let your kids go) to the mundane (how to shop for a dorm room). You can also visit their extensive website for all sorts of valuable information.
NEW: VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS The East Bay Sea Serpents are looking for volunteers. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, EBSS welcomes enthusiastic student volunteers aged 14 and above, proficient in the four swimming strokes, and driven by compassion. Click here for flyer with more information.
NEW: MEF CONTRIBUTIONS ARE DOWN Our schools are among the lowest-funded in the state. The Acalanes Union High School District is deficit spending, and this practice isn't sustainable. Eventually, cuts will have to be made. We can't control how the state funds our schools, but we have the power as a community to help protect Campolindo programs by contributing to MEF. Your donation is more important than ever, as donations are significantly down from last year - MEF has raised less than $2M of the $3M goal with only 3 months to go in our campaign. As of today, MEF is not on track to be able to grant the same amount to our schools next year as we granted this year. And as we all know, costs are increasing, so grants need to increase to continue to cover the same expenses. Please contribute today!
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS The Moraga Junior Women's Club is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Festival on March 23. Volunteers are needed to help with games, activities, crafts, and more. Click here to sign up. Bring service verification form to event for signature. Any questions, email Nicole Caldwell.
