ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: SENIOR PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT Thursday, March 21, 6:00-8:00pm. There are tons of events & activities in the Spring of Senior year (memory boards, Time of Reflection, getting your cap & gown and other Graduation logistics, Senior Ball, Grad Night... the list goes on!) Come to the CPAC to pick up your Memory Board frame and learn how to help make the end of your student’s last year at Campo fun and memorable!


REMINDER: CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS Applications are due April 19 for Volunteer Service Awards. Students have been hard at work this year serving our community in a variety of ways and may be eligible for the Campo Service Award (30 hours of service) or the President's Volunteer Service Award (50 hours for students under 16, and 100 hours for 16 and older). LATEST ISSUE OF THE CLAW Introducing the latest issue of The Claw, Campolindo’s student run publication! To produce future issues, The Claw is asking for your support. CAMPO PARENTS BOOKCLUB Please join us for our spring CPC Bookclub meeting on Wednesday, April 10 at 7pm in the Campo Library. The book is: Grown and Flown, How to Support Your Teen, Stay Close as a Family, and Raise Independent Adults by Lisa Heffernan and Mary Del Harrington. Featuring a combination of stories, advice from professionals, and practical sidebars, the authors cover topics such as family life, high school academics, happiness and mental health, college admissions and college life. Addressing the high school years and those first years of independence, they cover everything from the monumental (how to let your kids go) to the mundane (how to shop for a dorm room). You can also visit their extensive website for all sorts of valuable information. 


VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS

  • The East Bay Sea Serpents are looking for volunteers. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, EBSS welcomes enthusiastic student volunteers aged 14 and above, proficient in the four swimming strokes, and driven by compassion. Click here for flyer with more information.
  • The Moraga Junior Women's Club is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Festival on March 23. Volunteers are needed to help with games, activities, crafts, and more. Click here to sign up. Bring service verification form to event for signature. Any questions, email Nicole Caldwell.

NEW: ASB ELECTIONS A huge congratulations to the winners and everyone who campaigned! Next year's officers are: ASB President - Alex Bruno ASB Vice-President - Emory Hsiao ASB Treasurer - Jack Braun ASB Secretary - Natalie Stewart.

NEW: MARCH MADNESS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT Games are 3 v. 3 and will start Monday, March 11, at lunch.

NEW: SUSTAINABLE LEADERS IN ACTION (SLIA) AND CAMPO'S ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB Come join Eco Club and SLIA’s Climate Policy workshop March 20 & 27 during lunch in Mr. Seligman’s room (T2)! Explore how to make an impact on local government with environmental issues; workshop members will learn about public commenting, working with local organizations, and making calls to government officials!

TALENT SHOW AUDITIONS Talent show is on March 20. Email Ms. Webb-Peploe if you'd like to audition.

BLOOD DRIVE Students who are 16+ can donate blood. Sign up week of March 11 via google form which will be sent out this week. Blood drive will be April 19, 7:30am-2:30pm.


WE NEED YOU! GET INVOLVED WITH CAMPO PARENTS CLUB! Are you interested in becoming more involved and connected to the Campo community? Volunteering for the CPC is not only rewarding, but also makes a difference in the experience for all of our Campo students and parents. We are actively looking for parents who are interested in joining our board for 2024-2025. We have a variety of jobs, big and small with varying time commitments, on both our Executive Board and Committees. Please fill out this interest form to learn more. CAMPOLINDO TOURS FOR PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS The last tour will be offered to prospective students and their families on April 10. The tour will visit a variety of classrooms and featured locations on campus, followed by a Q&A at the end. Tours meet in “A Hall West” outside the Attendance Office at 3:30pm. Please email Mrs. Sliwinski to reserve a spot for a tour. 

ATHLETICS NEWS

NEW: BEACH VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS Tryouts for the 2024 Campo Beach Volleyball team will be held at Moraga Commons. Here's the schedule:

  • Monday, March 11; Tryouts at 4:00pm
  • Tuesday, March 12; Tryouts at 4:30pm
  • Wednesday, March 13; First practice at 4:00pm

Reminder to complete your SportsNet Registration (you must complete and/or update even if you did it for another sport. Select Beach Volleyball in Spring Sports). SportsNet Registration and Information can be found on the Campo Beach Volleyball Website.


NEW: FEMALE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING The Campo Athletic Boosters is sponsoring a (free) Female Strength and Conditioning Program in Campo's weight room. Open to any Campo students. No experience necessary. Meet at the weight room in workout attire. Mondays 4:30-5:30pm and Wednesdays 5-6pm.

WELLNESS FAIR The Wellness Center will be holding its first ever Wellness Fair on Friday, March 15. CAMPOLINDO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING

NEW: ACALANES BLACK STUDENT UNION & FEMINIST CLUB PRESENT: A night with Regan Bradley-Brown, Supervising Attorney. March 12, 6:30pm in the Acalanes Library. Join us for this collaborative night with Ms. Bradley-Brown. Regan has worked at East Bay Children’s Law Office since 2019 representing children and youth in the East Bay. Regan also serves as a member of Beyond Emancipation’s Board of Directors, an organization supporting young people to create their own life beyond foster care. During the chat, Ms. Bradley-Brown will share about her work, her experience as a black female today, her college experience & more. The evening will be conversational in nature, facilitated by a panel of district student leaders in a Q&A format.


JOIN US FOR A POWERFUL EVENING ABOUT OVERCOMING CHALLENGES In the 2017 Collegiate Rugby National Championship, Robert Paylor broke his neck and his life changed in an instant when he became paralyzed. Everyone is paralyzed by something, whether it be physical, mental, or emotional. His message stirs others to cultivate purpose in their lives, fully access their inner resilience, develop a reflexive sense of gratitude, and maintain positivity through even the most daunting challenges. This event will be held on Tuesday, March 19, at 7pm, at the Acalanes Performing Arts Center. Please register here.


HELP FUND THE LARAMIE PROJECT A donation link is now up on our Campo Webstore! Please join Campo DEIB in raising $3,000 for the Spring 2024 student production of The Laramie Project. This compelling play helps to generate important community and student dialogue around issues of respect, equality, and acceptance. More info: Laramie Project. JUNIOR CLASS NEWS

NEW: TESTING REQUIREMENTS Testing is now required for many schools outside CA and private schools. Students applying to these schools should consider taking the SAT or ACT. If you have questions, please set up an appointment with one of the College and Career Counselors here. 


JUNIOR PROM ON APRIL 20 This year's prom theme is Santorini Nights and will take place at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland. Click here to volunteer.
