ANNOUNCEMENTS

TOMORROW: PARENT ED EVENT Please join Addiction Specialist Dr. Allyson Mayo, Medical Director of Comprehensive Wellness Dr. Rebecca Parish, and CHS Wellness Coordinator Jenna Wrobel for a presentation detailing what parents and guardians need to know about fentanyl, Narcan, and other important drug updates. Tuesday, March 14 at 6:30pm in the Campolindo Library.

URGENT: CHAPERONES STILL NEEDED! We still need chaperones for next week's March Madness Dance, on Friday, March 24 from 7:15-9:15. Sign up with a friend and we can place you together. This is an easy and fun way to volunteer. Email Lindsay Webb-Peploe if you can help!

NEW: GRAD NIGHT Grad Night is an exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime event designed to provide a safe and memorable celebration for our Campo grads and the last chance to celebrate as a class! This exciting, long-standing senior tradition takes place immediately following the Graduation Ceremony on Friday, May 26. Tickets will be on sale this week!

NEW: KEY CLUB GARAGE SALE Doing some spring cleaning? Please consider donating your unneeded items to the Campolindo Key Club! We are holding a garage sale on March 25-26 and would love to take those items off your hands! All proceeds from selling your items will go to the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Program. NEW: LAMORINDA ZERO WASTE CHALLENGE APRIL 3-MAY 14 Lamorinda, are you ready for some friendly competition? Let's work together to establish sustainable habits and reduce waste in the 2023 Lamorinda Zero Waste Challenge! Anyone age 13+ can register to join; but only 1 city will be the winner. NEW: BERKELEY AUTONOMOUS DRIVING SUMMER PROGRAM ROAR Academy is a rigorous and intensive two-week program for high school students. Students will have the opportunity to work with UC Berkeley faculty while learning about Python programming and introductory autonomous driving algorithms. CAMPO PARENTS BOOKCLUB IS COMING UP! There's still time to read the book! Join us for our next CPC Bookclub meeting on Tuesday, March 28 at 7pm in the Campo Library. CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS Students who volunteer in the community may be eligible for a Service Award. Completed hours and applications deadline is April 21. There is a new online only application process this year and we are returning to the 30 hour minimum. CAMPO KEY CLUB CANNED FOOD DRIVE Campo Key Club will be collecting canned foods every Friday through March 17. Email campokeyclub@gmail.com with your name and address, place your bag of nonperishables next to your mailbox on Friday morning, and that afternoon someone will come by to pick up your donation. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS The Moraga Junior Women's Club is hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Festival on March 25. NEW: NEW WEIGHT ROOM EQUIPMENT ARRIVES In true 'One Team' fashion, Campo's Weight Room received much needed equipment through generous contributions from Campo's Cougar Club (the Football Boosters) and the Campo Athletic Boosters with support from the Diamond Club (Baseball Boosters), the Boys Water Polo team and parents who gave generously through the Campo Athletic Boosters Fund-a-Need Program. The new equipment will allow more Campo students to fully participate in weight room activities and will set the stage for broader participation in Campo's strength and conditioning programs. Thanks to all who contributed!!

GIRLS' FLAG FOOTBALL '23/'24 PLAYER INTEREST SURVEY AND COACHES NEEDED CIF recently approved Girls Flag Football as an official CIF sport. Campolindo is looking to add a team if there is enough interest to do so. If your student is interested in playing, please complete the following form: Campo Girls Flag Football - Player Interest Form. In addition, Campolindo is looking for individuals that may be interested in coaching the team next year. If you would like to apply, please contact AD Ray Meadows.

NEW: CAREER WEBINARS To celebrate the UK's National Careers Week, INVESTIN is running a series of free webinars this month for teens. Students will have the opportunity to learn from professionals from the worlds of Medicine, Finance and Law, and ask them questions in a live online, interactive environment. The sessions will take place at 18:00 UK time, but recordings will be sent to all students that register, so interested students should book their places even if they are unable to attend. CAMP COUNSELORS WANTED! Adventure Day Camp--Moraga & San Ramon. Love working with kids? Having fun, being outdoors, and getting in touch with your inner child? We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, positive, creative and nurturing young adults to join our Camp staff for the summer. Counselor + specialty positions available. UC BERKELEY MINI UNIVERSITY PROGRAM FOR STEM The UC Berkeley Society of Women Engineers is hosting this free, one-day program. It provides high school students (of any gender) the opportunity to learn more about majors and careers in engineering and STEM through hands-on engineering activities, professor talks, and interactions with Berkeley STEM students and organizations. NEW: REPAIRING THE WORLD: STORIES FROM THE TREE OF LIFE We had a great turn out for the screening of this film produced in association with Not In Our Town. A special highlight was the Q&A with Director, Patrice O'Neill, and five students from our four AUHSD high schools. A big thank you to the organizers who worked tirelessly to make this event possible!

TONIGHT: TOWN HALL THEATRE PRESENTS "LIFT YOUR VOICE"--AN EVENING WITH ANGELA HARRELSON The Aunt of George Floyd speaks about her nephew, Monday, March 13 at 7pm. Pay what you can--all proceeds go to fund the George Floyd Memorial. Signed copies of Harrelson's book available for purchase at the event thanks to Reasonable Books.

AACI AND NBC BAY AREA HOST "GROWING UP ASIAN IN AMERICA" an annual art, essay, and video contest that reaches thousands of Bay Area students in Kindergarten through 12th grade. Submission deadline is March 15. Theme is "Free to Be Me". Click here for details.

SENIOR PARENT MEETING Our Senior parent meeting will be on March 21 at 6:30pm in the CPAC. Please plan on attending to learn more about the final Senior events celebrated at school. This meeting will include important information about Senior Memory Boards, Senior Ball (5/6/23), Graduation (5/26/23) and Grad Night and more!

JUNIOR CLASS NEWS

NEW: JUNIOR PROM INFO Juniors, you were born to shine! Please join us for "A Night Under the Stars" and celebrate our junior prom with dinner, dancing and delicious desserts! Prom will be held on Saturday, April 22, 6:30-11:00pm at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland. Tickets for Campo students are $135. Tickets for non-Campo students are $150. All students must fill out a permission slip and turn it into the attendance office by April 14. Guests from other schools must also fill out a permission slip and an additional form and turn it into the office by April 10. Tickets will increase in price to $150 after April 7. Webstore tickets purchase will officially close on April 15.

COLLEGE LIST Under the “College Planning” section of College & Career 101, we now have new sections for How to build a college list and College Spreadsheet. These walk students through the process of analyzing their college options. Make an appointment here if help is needed.
SUMMER PLANS Consider enrolling in an online summer college course to help you explore an area of interest or further your academics. Consider Lake Tahoe Community College, Napa Community College, or others. Also look at pre-college programs under Summer Programs. Pre-college programs are offered at many universities and are designed specifically for high school students. Or find other meaningful experiences for the summer, such as a job, community service or internship.
AP EXAMS Register for the May AP exams for any AP courses you took this year.
TESTING Register for or take the SAT or ACT on the date you registered.
