NEW: SENIOR PARENT SPRING INFO NIGHT DATE/TIME CHANGE Wednesday, March 23, 7:00-8:00pm in the Campo Performing Arts Center (CPAC). Come hear from Principal John Walker and get all the info you need to help make your student’s final events at Campo fun and memorable! More details in senior section below.

NEW: CAMPOLINDO IMPROV SHOWCASE, March 25 & March 26 Doors open at 7:00pm, audience input at 7:20pm, doors close at 7:30pm (no late entry). Tickets on sale in the quad TODAY at lunch, $10, cash only. Limited seating, buy tickets today!

NEW: ROAR ACADEMY OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS The ROAR (Robot Open Autonomous Racing) Academy is a rigorous and intensive two-week program for high school students. Students will have the opportunity to work with UC Berkeley faculty while learning about Python programming and introductory autonomous driving algorithms. CAMPOLINDO LEADERSHIP ANNOUNCEMENTS Upcoming student activities:
  • March Madness Dance is BACK! March 17th from 8-9:30pm in the quad! Free with ASB, $20 without. All profits from the dance will be donated to Ukraine. 
  • Come help plant the new heart shaped succulent bed in the Campo Garden after school Monday. We'll have dozens of new succulents to plant--keep our school green! Visit the goats and chickens while you're there! 

ACADEMY The Academy program (Wednesdays and Fridays) is one of the key academic support tools at Campolindo. Each Academy session is 55 minutes long, and all teachers run support sessions. Learn more about Academy via the following link: CHS Academy.

LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED IN CAMPO PARENTS CLUB? There are so many ways to volunteer! Do you have a background in accounting or bookkeeping? We are in need of a Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer to be part of next year's board. We have various Vice President roles and committee lead positions open, as well. VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWARDS Reminder to have your student keep track of their volunteer hours! Students can earn one of two service awards: Campolindo Service Award (school award) or the President's Volunteer Service Award (a national award). For more information, visit the CPC website or Campo's website. Due to the Covid pandemic, only 20 hours are required for the 2021-2022 school year. 
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARENTS
LUNCH DISTRIBUTION We need parent help to get the lunches distributed in a timely manner. This is a quick and easy volunteer job to help get the students fed quickly! Time slots are available M-F from 12:45-1:15pm. Click here to sign up. 

JAZZ DINNER DANCE VOLUNTEERS AND DONATIONS We are in need of volunteers to both join the planning committee and staff the event. Need is especially greatest for volunteers from Freshman/Sophomore/Junior families to join the planning committee as this year’s event Co-Chairs, Chris House and Wei Barck, both have graduating Seniors in the Jazz Band. NLI NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT SIGNING DAY RECOGNITION CEREMONY -- SPRING Date and Time TBA: If your son or daughter is interested in being recognized in our Spring NLI Recognition Signing Day, please contact AD Ray Meadows with your child's name and the name of the school they will be signing an NLI with. More details to come on the date/time.

NCS/CIF PLAYOFFS WINTER SPORTS: Admission to all NCS/CIF Playoff games will require a ticket purchased on GoFan.co. This is for ALL spectators including students that wish to attend.

DVC SUMMER CAREER ACADEMIES These 1-2 week classes allow high school students to explore various career opportunities. Subjects include Animation, Business, Cybersecurity, Engineering/Construction/Manufacturing, Environmental Engineering, Engineering Technology, Health, Culinary/Hospitality, Biotech, Police Academy, and Robotics. Registration opens on April 1st. More information here.

CAREER TALKS, FRIDAYS (12:55-1:25) IN E13 OVER ZOOM Are you interested in learning about different jobs and whether one may be a good fit for you? The College & Career Center has lined up a group of professionals who are passionate about their jobs and want to share it with you. Come listen to them talk about their career, how they got there, pros/cons of the job, and what advice they have for you. All grades are welcome. Come to as many talks as you wish.  Register here.

UPDATE: JOIN US! NEXT STRATEGY SESSION Campo D&I meets again on Monday, March 21st at 7pm in the Campo Library with an optional and encouraged social half-hour starting at 6:30pm. We're asking for everyone to listen to the podcast series Southlake--it's 6 episodes about 40 minutes each. We will discuss it and its implications for our work. NEW: ALTERNATIVES TO COLLEGE AND COLLEGE PREP Thursday, March 24 from 6:30-7:30pm in the Acalanes Library, Acalanes Parent Ed will host Cynthia Muchnick, M.A., author, speaker, educational consultant, and parent on Alternatives to College and College Prep. As a former Assistant Director of Admissions for the Illinois Institute of Technology and the University of Chicago, she has extensive experience screening and reviewing thousands of college applications. Most recently, she has authored several books including The Parent Compass: Navigating your Teens Wellness and Academic Journey in Today’s Competitive World and countless articles including Alternatives to College: Exploring Other Routes. Cindy will be speaking in person and available to sign purchased books afterwards. START SMART: DRIVING SMART TO STAY SAFE Start Smart provides teens and their caregivers with an interactive safe driving awareness class that will illustrate how poor choices behind the wheel can have devastating impacts and will equip participants with the tools needed to make smart choices when it comes to driving. Students that attend the class will receive a certificate from CHP that they can present to insurance companies. This event is open to all AUHSD parents and their teens. CAMPAIGN UPDATE MEF has raised over $2M during this year’s Giving Campaign but still needs to raise over $600,000 by the end of the school year to reach its fundraising goal. The money raised this year funds grants to the Moraga School District and Campolindo next year. Please help us fully fund these grants and continue to create possibilities by donating to MEF today! UPDATE: SENIOR PARENT SPRING INFO NIGHT IS NOW ON WEDNESDAY, March 23, 7:00-8:00pm in the Campo Performing Arts Center (CPAC). There are a lot of moving parts with the many events and activities in the spring of Senior year (memory boards, Time of Reflection, getting your cap & gown and other Graduation logistics, Senior Ball, Grad Night...the list goes on!). Come hear from Principal John Walker and get all the info you need to help make your student’s final events at Campo fun and memorable! This is also the time to pick up your Senior’s blank Memory Board (you add pictures and return for display in May--instructions will be provided).
 
UPDATE: SENIOR BREAKFAST & SENIOR PANORAMIC PICTURE DATE CHANGE The senior breakfast and class panoramic picture will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:15am.

SENIOR BALL Saturday, April 30 Seniors will arrive at Campo at 5pm to board lux buses to the venue & return to Campo at midnight. Tickets will go on sale immediately following the reveal on March 23. Sign up here to help decorate or chaperone at the Ball!

ELEVATE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS SCHOLARSHIP This scholarship is for students who have been affected by mental health challenges. Their hope is that the scholarship inspires greater awareness about mental health and fuels innovative solutions that help the millions of people who are suffering. The application deadline is May 31. More information here.

NEW: JUNIOR PROM REVEAL Class of 2023's Leadership Team announced the Junior Prom theme and details last Wednesday during lunch. Save April 23 for a Covid-friendly but traditional "An Enchanted Evening" Junior Prom at Saint Mary's College. This event will be held outdoors; guests should allow for layers to keep warm and flat shoes for turf. Guests of Junior classmates are allowed but see the CPC Class of 2023 Website for all the details. Tickets will go on sale next week!
