ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: SENIORS Your caps and gowns will be delivered on Thursday, April 20 during both Brunch and Lunch in front of the Cafeteria. This is the only delivery day so all seniors must pick up their cap and gown at this time.


NEW: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED--HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS Each summer the Campo Athletic Boosters sponsors Sports Physicals/Athletic Clearances for any student interested in playing a Campo sport (more to come on this in the coming weeks). If you are a healthcare professional (Nurse, Physician, Physical Therapist) and are willing to donate your time and talent at one or both of our Sports Physicals events this summer we'd love to have you. If interested, please complete this short Sports Physical Volunteer Form. Thanks in advance for considering this!


CAMPO C.A.R.E. PROGRAM Campo's C.A.R.E. (Campo Aid and Resource Equity) Program is available to help students and their families with financial and other forms of support in order to fully participate in Campo activities (including athletics, performing arts, career/college activities, dances, and other Campo events). If your family needs a little extra support for these activities, please reach out to Mr. Alvarez, Ms. Knight, Mr. Rubey or contact your child's Counselor for more information. Click here to request more information. CAMPO SERVICE AWARDS--KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS Students who volunteer in the community may be eligible for a Service Award. Completed hours and applications deadline is April 21. There is a new online only application process this year and we are returning to the 30 hour minimum. For details, guidelines, and application information, please visit the Volunteer Service Award page on the Campo website or visit CPC Volunteer Service Award on the CPC website.

NEW: NLI--NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT RECOGNITION CEREMONY Please join us in the Campo quad on Friday, 4/28 at 12:50 (Lunch time) to honor our Athletes that are signing National Letters of Intent to participate in collegiate athletics. 


NEW: CLASS OF 2027 INCOMING FRESHMAN ATHLETICS INFORMATION EVENING MAY 8, 6-7pm Please join Campolindo Coaches and Athletes in the Campolindo Quad to get information about the Campolindo Athletic Programs that are offered and off-season plans. NEW: CAMPO ATHLETICS BOOSTERS SURVEY As the Campo Athletic Boosters begins to define our 2023-24 Membership and Funding priorities, we would appreciate your input. Whether you are currently a Boosters Member or not, if you have a minute, please share your thoughts via this quick 12 question survey. Your perspective will help inform the direction we take in 2023-24. Thanks in advance for taking a moment to do this! 


FEMALE STUDENT STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PILOT The Campo Athletic Boosters in collaboration with Campo Athletics is sponsoring a female-oriented strength and conditioning pilot open to any Campo student regardless if they play a Campo sport--but also ideal for any athlete in or out of season this spring. The sessions will last an hour and be held on Mondays (at 3:15pm) and Wednesdays (at 4:45pm) starting on April 12. No prior experience is required and students can attend as many of the sessions as they'd like. To sign up, please click here.


NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT SPRING RECOGNITION CEREMONY If your senior, student athlete will be signing a NLI--National Letter of Intent--and would like to be recognized in our Spring NLI Recognition Ceremony, please email AD Ray Meadows with your senior's name, school they will be attending and sport to be added to the list of senior's to be recognized. 


GIRLS' FLAG FOOTBALL '23/'24 PLAYER INTEREST SURVEY AND COACHES NEEDED CIF recently approved Girls Flag Football as an official CIF sport. Campolindo is looking to add a team if there is enough interest to do so. If your student is interested in playing, please complete the following form: Campo Girls Flag Football - Player Interest Form. In addition, Campolindo is looking for individuals that may be interested in coaching the team next year. If you would like to apply, please contact AD Ray Meadows. As the details are still being worked out across various leagues and NCS, the season is most likely going to occur in the fall.

COLLEGE AND CAREER CENTER

NEW: MORAGA YOUTH INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE Students interested in leadership opportunities should consider this committee. The purpose of it is to provide youth with opportunities for civic involvement, to implement/assist in activities and services in the community and to make appropriate recommendations to the Town Council on youth related issues. Teens must attend a Moraga school or reside in Moraga. Applications open May 1. REPUBLIC SERVICES APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM Join this one-hour virtual information session. April 19, 4:30pm. Register here.


DVC CAREER EDUCATION EXPLORATION Here are three upcoming events to explore the following careers through DVC.

  • Public Safety Expo and Career Fair on April 21 Career Pathways: Administration of Justice, Emergency Medical, Fire. This event will provide students with an opportunity to learn about careers in public safety, meet with industry professionals and get a behind the scene look at emergency response equipment and techniques.   • Building Inspection Technology Virtual Job Fair on April 26 Career Pathways: Construction, Engineering. California Building Officials will discuss the inspection technology program, current and future job openings, and how to get hired. Learn from industry professionals how to become a permit technician, Plans Examiner, Building Inspector or Code Enforcement Officer Join us for this FREE virtual event! Register here.
  • Car Show--Industrial Automation + Robotics on May 6 Career Pathways: Industrial Design, Engineering Technology. Students interested in learning about the skills needed for a career in robotics, industrial automation, transportation, and product design are encouraged to attend. Participants will tour the Engineering Technology Center which includes the Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machining center, and Tesla Robotics Training Center, while enjoying a variety of diverse cars on display. $5 for high school students. For more information, visit our Eventbrite: Register here.

SUMMER PROGRAMS THROUGH SUMMER EXPERIENCES JSA summer programs are immersive learning experiences that engage students with college-level curriculum, collaborative projects, and activism opportunities to give them a unique perspective on the important issues facing America today. Four different summer programs are available, both virtually and in-person here.


COLLEGE & CAREER 101 HAS NEW FEATURES We’ve added and enhanced several features on this website. There are two new sections to help students understand what it takes to get into the competitive majors of Computer Science and Engineering, as well as less-competitive schools to apply to for these majors. These are a complement to the existing sections on other majors: Business, Nursing, English, Art/Design, Music, Film, and Visual/Performing Arts. The Extracurricular Activities and Summer Programs pages have been updated with new opportunities, contests and awards. Three recently added features are Building a Resume, How to Build a College List, College Analysis Spreadsheet, and Financial Award Letters.


ADDITIONAL COLLEGE ADVISORS To provide extra support to help all our students navigate the college admissions process or other post-graduation plans, we have college advisors available for free appointments. Some are in-person and some over Zoom. All grades are welcome.

NEW: FILM SCREENING OF LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL THIS WEEK! The California Legislative Jewish Caucus will be hosting a film screening of Life is Beautiful on Wednesday, April 19 at Orinda Theatre in recognition of Holocaust Remembrance Day. Prior to the screening, we will be joined by a local Holocaust Survivor who will be sharing his story. Doors will open at 6:30pm for the event and the program will begin at 7pm. Please RSVP here

PARENT EDUCATION ABOUT RACIAL CONSCIOUSNESS Last session is Wednesday, April 19 from 5:00-7:00pm. The Orinda School District is offering a Parent Education Event about Racial Consciousness with Dr. Lori Watson, founder and CEO of Race-Work. Sessions will be held in the OUSD Boardroom. We ask all attendees to register prior to attending the meeting. Please register by completing this form.

NEW: RESCHEDULED SENIOR PARENT MEETING Senior parent meeting will happen TOMORROW, April 18 at 6pm in the CPAC! NEW: GRADUATION LEIS ON SALE NOW Celebrate your graduate with a beautiful, direct-from-Hawaii lei that can be purchased through the webstore. Leis will be distributed when students gather before walking into the stadium. This is a fundraiser for the class of 2024.

UPDATE: SENIOR CELEBRATION A big thank you to all the parents who have already volunteered to bring food for this fun event!! We still need more! Each year the College & Career Center hosts a celebration of our seniors during Academy to celebrate their hard work towards their post-graduation plans and college acceptances. Usually about 200 students attend and that’s a lot of hungry mouths to feed! If you’re able, we would appreciate it if you could register for the remaining spots here.
