UPDATE: STANLEY JAZZ CAFE The Stanley Jazz Cafe is back and Campo's Jazz Band will be performing! Please join us on Friday, May 20th, 5:30pm, at Stanley Middle School to enjoy some live jazz music performed by our local school bands. Stanley Jazz Bands, Acalanes Jazz Ensemble, Campolindo Jazz Band, and many more will be coming together for an evening of music and to honor Mr. Bob Athayde after 35 years of inspirational service to the Lamorinda Community. SUPPORTING ASIAN-AMERICAN TEENS: SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH The Moraga School District, Campo Parent DNI, and JM DEI Committee present a free parent ed Zoom event for and by Asian/Asian-American Identifying Parents, Caregivers, and Educators. This workshop will facilitate a supportive environment for Asian/Asian-American adults to gather and learn more about how to support our young people in their social emotional wellbeing and mental health. So many of us have not had a brave, affinity space to discuss having complex conversations with young people about identity, mental health, advocacy, and historical context. Through an interactive presentation format, Dr. Soundhari Balaguru will guide us through sharing our stories, self-reflection, frameworks, and data to prepare us to support young people today in the challenges they face in school and in our communities.
