SUPPORTING ASIAN-AMERICAN TEENS: SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELLNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH The Moraga School District, Campo Parent DNI, and JM DEI Committee present a free parent ed Zoom event for and by Asian/Asian-American Identifying Parents, Caregivers, and Educators. This workshop will facilitate a supportive environment for Asian/Asian-American adults to gather and learn more about how to support our young people in their social emotional wellbeing and mental health. So many of us have not had a brave, affinity space to discuss having complex conversations with young people about identity, mental health, advocacy, and historical context. Through an interactive presentation format, Dr. Soundhari Balaguru will guide us through sharing our stories, self-reflection, frameworks, and data to prepare us to support young people today in the challenges they face in school and in our communities. Register HERE. Please direct questions for this event to jchenspeckman@gmail.com.

IS YOUR STUDENT THE NEXT CURATOR FOR THE MORAGA LIBRARY DISPLAY CASE? JM DEI partners with the library to set up the library display case during selected months to highlight community interests, respect for differences and support for all abilities in our community.
