ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT We are excited to welcome you to our campus for Back to School Night on August 31. The general welcome kicks off at 6pm in the Big Gym and the class visits start at 6:30pm. There will be a New Families meeting hosted in the MUR at 5:30pm to welcome new families and introduce them to select staff and administration. There will also be class meetings immediately following the class visits. Please click here for the flyer, which your students can fill in with their class schedule.


NEW: CAMPO PARENTS CLUB MEETING Campolindo Parents Club will be holding a general membership meeting during the Welcome Session of BTSN. Please visit the Campo Parents Club website to review the 2023-2024 budget that will be presented for approval by the membership. Any questions, please contact CPC president Wendy Reicher.


NEW: CAMPUS AND GUN SAFETY EVENT The goal of this event is to educate Moraga citizens/parents about our current campus and gun safety practices and laws in order to help prevent gun violence, including suicide, and save lives. We recognize that this is a complex topic that is difficult to discuss, but our hope is that holding an event focused on prevention and education will show that we are being proactive and thoughtful about this issue. Event will be in the CPAC on October 16, 7:00-8:30pm.


NEW: AMPLIFY THE ARTS: SUPPORTING THE CAMPOLINDO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (CPAC) Amplify the Arts was established to fundraise for upgrades and improvements to technology and equipment for the CPAC. Our goal of $650,000 will fund the replacement of original sound and lighting equipment from 2003 when the CPAC was built. The CPAC, which impacts the arts education of hundreds of students each year, also provides a vibrant arts environment for the greater community. MEET MS. HERRING, OUR NEW LIBRARIAN My name is Liz Herring and I am positively elated to be the new Teacher Librarian at Campo! I come to Campo following 11 years of teaching, mostly English, in the Bay Area. Prior to moving to the Bay, I grew up in Orange County, attended Cal State Fullerton for undergrad and the teaching credential program, and worked at Disneyland (still a Disney Adult) for 7 years to put myself through college and the program. Click here to read more.

CAMPOLINDO FOOTBALL TICKETS Football tickets for all HOME games must be purchased in advance on GoFan.co. Students with ASB and/ or Campo Boosters Card holders will be admitted without a ticket. There will NOT be cash ticket sales at the game.


CAMPO ATHLETIC BOOSTERS MEMBERSHIP GEAR PICK UP Campo Athletic Boosters Members should have received their Membership Envelope (Membership Cards, Decals) in the mail. For those Family, Silver, Gold and Platinum members who have not picked up Membership gear yet, there is one more chance to do so on August 29 from 3:30-5:30pm outside Campo's MUR just off Campo's quad. Any gear not picked up will be donated to Campo Athletics (unless alternate arrangements are made through president@campoathleticboosters.com). As always, thanks for your support of Campo Athletics!


UPDATE: FEMALE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING PROGRAM The Campo Athletic Boosters will be sponsoring a Female Strength and Conditioning Program for the 2023-24 School Year. The sessions will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm starting on October 2. A signup sheet for these free strength and conditioning sessions will be made available shortly.

SENIORS - CHECK EMAILS FROM COLLEGE & CAREER CENTER We’ll be sending out regular emails to help guide you through the college application process and inform you of important events. It’s best if you configure your auhsd email and set notifications on your phone so that you won’t miss them!


COLLEGE ESSAY HELP WITH MR. PETROCCO Once again, the fabulous Mr. Petrocco has offered to help Seniors with their college essays during lunchtime in the College & Career Center, E13. Thursdays, September-October. Seniors cannot register for more than 2 sessions per month to give other students the opportunity. Register here.

CAMPOLINDO WELLNESS CENTER

NEW: WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL! We hope you found moments of joy and summer relaxation during the break! If you are new to the Campolindo community or are a returning family, we want to provide you with important information about our Wellness Center!

What services are provided for students? 

  • Students can participate in a variety of services including mental health counseling, support and empowerment groups, referrals to community agencies and more. Wellness services provided to students are free and confidential. Students can also drop-in to the Wellness Center before/after school, lunch/brunch, and for short breaks if needed. 

How do I refer a student to the Wellness Center? 

  • You can refer a student to the Wellness Center by completing the online referral form or contacting the Wellness Center via email. You can also refer students by contacting the student's School Counselor.

We'll learn about this award-winning graphic novel which details Takei's experience in Japanese incarceration camps during World War II, and reflect on the role of upstanders at pivotal moments in history. STORIES FROM OUR ROOTS FILM EVENT Miramonte students will showcase three of their award-winning films featuring the Asian-owned businesses Kibi’s Cafe, Hodo Foods, and Joan’s Chinese painting studio! There will be a panel discussion with youth filmmakers and business owners who can provide insight into their journeys and experiences in order to promote intergenerational and intercultural dialogue. These students run a collective called Stories From Our Roots that strives to promote Lamorinda Asian-owned businesses and their stories through filmmaking and community organization. Thursday, September 7, 7:30pm Orinda Theater. As the date nears, keep your eye out for the signup to contribute to the concessions and/or volunteer to spend time with fellow senior parents at the window or behind the grill that night!

JUNIOR CLASS NEWS

JUNIOR SNACK SHACK FUNDRAISER The Juniors will be hosting the snack shack on October 6. Keep an eye out for the sign up!


BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW! Class of 2025 Parent Party will be on September 23, from 6:30-9:30pm at the Polichio’s house in Moraga. We will have live entertainment from Joyous Ashes, a Campolindo live music club band, Class of 2025 Lamorinda Idols, and a small group of Campo Choir members. Beverages, bites, and baked goods will be provided. All proceeds will go towards Junior Prom and Senior Ball. The cost is $65 per person. Sign up now!

FRESHMAN CLASS SNACK SHACK FUNDRAISER GOOO COUGARS - football is back at Campo! Please help contribute to our Class of 2027 Fundraiser. We are in charge of running the snack shack for the football game on Friday, September 1. All net proceeds will be used to help lower the costs of our senior-year activities. We need help working the snack shack and grill that night. Most importantly, we need your financial donations--you donate and we shop! TROOP 402G IS ACCEPTING BSA SCOUTS AGED 11-17 Do you want to build a community of new friends, learn lifelong skills, and be outdoors? Troop 402G is for you! 

We are an inclusive independently-registered female BSA Scouts of America scout troop that are accepting scouts that use the pronouns she/her and/or they/them. We meet on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:45pm in Lafayette. We are a supportive, fun and adventurous troop where our scouts develop leadership skills and meet kids outside their normal social circles.
