ANNOUNCEMENTS

NEW: INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PROGRAM Come join us on Thursday, September 14 at 7pm in the CPAC for our annual Pops Concert, "A Night at the Oscars"! The Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Concert Band will be playing some of your favorite tunes from Oscar-winning movies. The Instrumental Music Boosters will be hosting a reception afterwards in the MUR. We hope you can join us.


NEW: FORE OUR SCHOOL TOURNAMENT NEEDS VOLUNTEERS The Fore Our Schools Golf Tournament on September 18 needs volunteers. It is a lot of fun and most shifts are only 2 hours. Please register here: Fore Our Schools: FOS Golf Tournament 2023 Thank you!


NEW: VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR MAKER FAIRE FIELD TRIP The Campo Library is hosting a field trip to the Maker Faire on Mare Island on October 20. Any students who are interested in robotics, coding, art, crafting, building, costumes, cosplay, instruments, etc, are welcome! We need volunteers to be drivers and chaperones from 9am-4pm. Contact Ms. Herring if you would like to volunteer. For more information about the Maker Faire, click here.


NEW: AMPLIFY THE ARTS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE: A Celebration of the Arts - A Benefit Concert for the Campolindo Performing Arts Center. Please join us on October 14 and/or October 15 for a once in a lifetime concert featuring performances from Campolindo’s illustrious performing arts alumni now seen professionally on stage, in the pit, and on the screen! Both benefit concerts will be held in the Campolindo Performing Arts Center (CPAC) and will be followed by a reception hosted by Campolindo performing arts parents. Visit our Benefit Concert page for more information. Tickets go on sale September 18 for donors with early access and September 21 for the general public. Note: Donations to Amplify the Arts received by September 15 may be eligible for early access tickets and other benefits. NEW: CONTRA COSTA SHARK TANK YOUTH COMPETITION The Contra Costa Shark Tank Youth Competition is a new competition designed to encourage youth entrepreneurship. K-12 students can win $1,000 to launch or grow their business. When young people succeed as entrepreneurs, they improve their own lives while also contributing to the economic development of their local communities. Finalists will be selected by the Campolindo Entrepreneurship Club, and winners selected by a panel of judges on February 6, 2024 at the Lafayette Library. Deadline to apply is November 15!


CSF APPLICATIONS The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) application will be completed online this semester and the submission window will run from September 1- September 22. CSF is a statewide organization that honors outstanding high school students for their academic achievements based upon each semester's grades. Complete information about CSF, including the online application form that must be completed to qualify for membership, can be found here: CSF Application. Questions? Contact Duane Magno in the Counseling Office.


CLUB DAY IS SEPTEMBER 13TH! There are over 100 clubs at Campolindo. On Wednesday at lunch, students can sign up for a variety of hobby, academic, service and affinity clubs. It is a fun and spirited day for all! If your student missed the day, a spreadsheet with all the clubs and times will be released to them and all staff. Encourage your student to sign up for several clubs! 


PSAT/NMSQT REGISTRATION IS OPEN For Sophomores and Juniors ONLY. Registration closes September 15. Test is on October 25. Click here for more information.


CAMPO PARENTS CLUB MEETING Campolindo Parents Club will be holding a general board meeting on September 19 in the Campo Library from 9-10:30am. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend. FEMALE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING SIGN UP The Campo Athletic Boosters is sponsoring a (free) Female Strength and Conditioning Program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm starting October 2 in Campo's Weight Room. Please use this Sign Up Sheet to sign up for as many sessions as you'd like.


CAMPOLINDO FOOTBALL TICKETS Football tickets for all HOME games must be purchased in advance on GoFan.co. Students with ASB and/ or Campo Boosters Card holders will be admitted without a ticket. There will NOT be cash ticket sales at the game.

NEW: INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE FAIR Have you thought about attending an international university? Sometimes they are more economical than domestic universities. Come learn more and meet representatives from international universities. September 27, 6:30pm at Acalanes High School Library. This is a free event and no registration is required.


NEW: FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE PARENT TALK Learn how your freshman or sophomore student can navigate their way through high school to align themselves with their post-graduation plans. October 3, 6:30-7:30pm at Campolindo Library.


UC ADMISSION NIGHT During this fundraiser for Moraga Rotary, Janelle Cardenas, Assistant Director of Admissions at UC Davis, will talk about the UC holistic review process, test blind policies, timing, and give a high level overview of financial aid. Registration required. TRIED & TRUE TUTORING Students interested in boosting their SAT score or taking the Practice ACT exam under real testing conditions should consider these opportunities! Tried & True is offering a SAT Boot Camp targeting the 10/7/23 Official SAT, and a Practice ACT Exam. Details and registration can be found here.


MARINE MAMMAL CENTER’S YOUTH CREW PROGRAM This 8-month service-learning program is for 15-18 year old students who are interested in working with marine mammals and educating the public about ocean conservation topics. Applications for their 2024 Youth Crew Program are due September 29Apply here.


NASA DROP TOWER CHALLENGE Teams of grade 8-12 students design and build simple devices that meet challenge objectives. Proposals are due November 1, and upon selection, device preparation, testing, analysis and write ups occur through Fall of 2024. STANFORD ADMISSION REP VISIT For the first time in many years, an Admission Rep from Stanford will be on our campus to give two 30-minute talks to students about their school and admissions process. Interested students should attend only one of these talks since they are the same. October 4:

  • FULL - at lunchtime - NOTE: to save time, please bring your lunch on this day rather than buying it at the cafeteria  

OR at 1:30pm (signup in Naviance > Colleges > College visits). Any grade is welcome.

NEW: SEPTEMBER IS SUICIDE AWARENESS MONTH Suicide is one of the leading causes of preventable death in our nation today. Education is key to prevention! Being aware of the signs associated with suicide, suicide facts and statistics, and how to get support for at-risk youth can help save lives. Never be reluctant to get involved and always take your child's desire or intent to harm themselves seriously. As the date nears, keep your eye out for the signup to contribute to the concessions and/or volunteer to spend time with fellow senior parents at the window or behind the grill that night!


COLLEGE ESSAY HELP WITH MR. PETROCCO Once again, the fabulous Mr. Petrocco has offered to help Seniors with their college essays during lunchtime in the College & Career Center, E13. Thursdays, September-October. Seniors cannot register for more than 2 sessions per month to give other students the opportunity. Register here.

We will have live entertainment from Joyous Ashes, a Campolindo live music club band, Class of 2025 Lamorinda Idols, and a small group of Campo Choir members. Beverages, bites, and baked goods will be provided. All proceeds will go towards Junior Prom and Senior Ball. The cost is $65 per person. Sign up now!
